We offer a beautiful 75-acre property that is yours to explore! We have only three sites - so you can feel confident knowing whatever site you choose is private and secluded, tucked away from the others and away from the house. We offer one site in a wildflower meadow sheltered by trees perfect for parking an RV or camper van. Or for the more adventurous, hike into your private wilderness tent site.

Campfires are allowed and we provide you with a fire pit, firewood and a picnic table. Please be fire smart and use our water-fill stations to put out the campfire after you are finished. You can also use the water-fill stations for cooking and drinking water during your stay. We do not provide an electrical hookup so be sure to bring a car charger for charging any devices you may need during your stay.

We’re located just 6km from Sundre, Alberta. Close to Calgary (just over an hour) and Canmore (just under two hours). While you’re here, you can explore Ya Ha Tinda or Snake Hill that offers great hiking and biking trails. There is also plenty of kayaking, canoeing, rafting and fishing spots close by - just ask!

We also have many things to do without even having to leave our property like hiking, mountain biking and we’re within walking distance to Red Deer River for fishing, canoeing or kayaking. The campsites are also wonderful for just relaxing in nature and taking it all in.

For larger families or groups please contact us for more information.

We hope to see you camping soon!

Hi Gregg and Kristin,
When I booked your camping site I was sure that everything will be ok for a long weekend. After we got there we were speechless about the wonderful site , quiet place and private that we choose to spend in nature. We don’t have enough words to say thank you for your hospitality , kindness and better place that you offered us and all the information you gave us about things to do in Sundre and surrounded area . 100% we will be back and we will recommend your amazing campsites.

Gregg and Kristin’s place was lovely. Nice and private with lots of space for kids a the dog to play. Gregg met us upon arrival and he and his daughter showed us to a beautiful spot that was perfect for what we needed. The firewood included was more than we could have ever use in a long weekend. The drinking water available was a great perk. Thank you for sharing your space with us We will definitely come again!

We loved our stay!! It is so nice, clean, natural, and private. Gregg, his dad, and Kristin were so helpful and accommodating. We couldn't have a firepit because of the fire ban in effect but wood is free and ready at your grounds if permitted. Water for dish washing is also provided. Nice drive. Only 1:22 hours from Calgary. We are happy we discovered this gem.

Gregg and his family were fantastic hosts. Lots of fire wood provided, fresh water, a secluded camping area, and he was happy to share about his land and the area. Really appreciated how he gave us space and privacy, but also welcomed us to let him know if we needed anything.

Look forward to returning in a couple months! Thanks Gregg.

Bearberry Meadows is an amazing place to camp.!!! Gregg was very thoughtful and made sure I was able to make it to the property and even checked in when a severe storm passed through! He greeted me upon arrival and made sure that I was aware of the property. We stayed at the meadow which offered great privacy as it was tucked away near the trees. The view of the night sky from the meadow is spectacular! The property is also fairly close to Sundre which makes it easy to pick up forgotten supplies! There are numerous trails to explore on the property as well as the Bearberry Nature Preserve adjacent. If you’re looking to get away from it all and enjoy the great outdoors in perfect solitude… this place is a must! Thanks. Gregg! I will definitely be back!!
