In 2008 we were searching for land in hopes of finding the perfect place to build our homestead. The housing market was bad and there were many abandoned homes in our area. On a whim, we decided to look at a few. We printed a photo of the property and we thought, yeah, let's take a look. It was a farmhouse that desperately needed some TLC. We arrived to view it on a sunny, fall day and before we even stepped out of the vehicle, we knew it was special. There was something about this small valley, with it's modest creek that touched our hearts. It was decided. This was the place for us.
Not only did the 1900's farmhouse need some work, but the land had not been cared for in many years. We are continually cleaning the property and committing ourselves to our role as land stewards. Every year we fall deeper in love with it.

Not only did the 1900's farmhouse need some work, but the land had not been cared for in many years. We are continually cleaning the property and committing ourselves to our role as land stewards. Every year we fall deeper in love with it. We named our property Silver Creek Springs in honor of the spring fed creek, Silver Creek, which flows through the property. As we renew and rebuild the farm, we've discovered such rich history. We're doing our best to honor those who came before us and respect the land we're committed to caring for.
When Tony and I met in 1995, he was a bicycle mechanic and I was a young tattoo artist. Our careers in life have stayed the same and evolved simultaneously. Tony became a carpenter in 1998 and on to a tattoo artist in 2005, while always staying passionate about his great love, bicycles. He raced bicycles professionally during these years, with the dream of eventually owning his own bike shop. We're excited to finally have his dream realized, The Creeky Wheel, which is our onsite bicycle shop. Tony is also the Trail Manager/Builder for our nearby Silver Creek Trails. I retired my tattoo machine after 27 years in October 2018 and turned my attention to my other passion, plant medicine. I'm now happily immersed in creating medicinal balms, oils & tinctures from plants grown right here on our farm. I've become a Community Herbalist, with a background in Western Herbalism and you can find me either caring for the plants or in my onsite Apothecary.
Sharing all of this with our friends and family has always been exciting and now we'd like to share it with you, too.
We invite you to become part of our journey.
