A bit of recent history about the land, it was owned by Grace Rogers Cooper, a big time curator at the Smithsonian museum in DC. Known as a U.S. textile expert she wrote the Thirteen-Star Flags: Keys to Identification, which exposed a number of "antique" flags as modern replicas and The Invention of the Sewing Machine. How bout that!
