Property was owned by my great grandfather , He lost 150 acres in the early 1900's due to a bad debt from neighboring landowner. Was so happy to be able to repurchase the 150 acres back in 2016,now own the original land tract and added more. 250 acres in total. Portions were strip mined around 1978-1982 creating some flat fields and access to all property. I might add that strip mining if done properly can and does enhance the property. Ponds were built to catch runoff and several new animal species moved in waterfowl ,muskrats, and beavers. The beavers have constructed large dams on property further adding to the beauty. Have seen several bald eagles on and around the property. Mountainous area close to national forests, whitewater, trout fishing, Has 6 large ponds in campground ,plenty of spectacular views and wildlife. enjoy sharing the land I love so much. Just minutes away from Cranberry back country ,Cranberry glades, Hillscreek falls and the highland scenic highway. 8 miles off of route 19 where you can enjoy Summersville Lake and Gauley River Whitewater. Just a few miles on down the road to the New River Gorge, where on an October day guests from around the world come to jump off a perfectly good bridge, with parachutes attached of course. To many mountain streams to list all, where I myself enjoy fishing for our state fish Native brook trout. Cell service is sketchy in places, which I consider a plus if you want to enjoy all the beauty. My friend Rick Greene will take you and your family via mules and wagon to trout fish the Cranberry River, where no motor vehicles are permitted. Access only on foot, bike or horse. By appointment at cranberryadventures.com . Numerous walking trails and ATV trails. The Williams, Elk and Cranberry rivers are some of the best trout streams in the eastern U.S.

Great Hospitality
John was very accommodating and kind. It was raining when we got in to set up camp, John drove us around the property and gave us the lay of the land. We mentioned that we were rafting the next day which is a 40 min drive from camp, he kindly checked to see if we had made it back safely and cautioned us to watch for deer. We did not get to explore much of the property bc of the rain but our little spot was just what we needed.

One of the most beautiful places we've camped. John is friendly and accommodating. He and his brother work hard to keep the lawn mowed and roads groomed. We had a great stay. Thanks John a

Lots of room to spread out, if you don’t need a hookup. Only 10 minutes from highway, great to not hear road noise. Firewood already in place! GPS won’t work with address. Thank goodness for friendly neighbors!

Highly recommend this spot. Several full hook up sites and tons of boondocking options for tent, trailer, RV. Very well maintained. John is super responsive, so is his brother. Will come back for sure

My recent trip to Beavers lakes campground left me spellbound, as I discovered a hidden gem that not only embraced nature's beauty but also unveiled a celestial wonderland in the night sky.

The hook-ups left quite a bit to be desired. The water hookup was completely underwater, muddy water, and had slugs and leeches all over it. The sewer hookup was a broken pipe with a rock on it. While the listing said there were toilets and showers, these were far away on the other side of the campground.
