When Earl and Laurine Ingebright found an ad in a local paper for sixty acres near Arlington, in 1958, they knew it would be a place for family fun, relaxation, and their own private forest. What they could not have anticipated was the sheer diversity of projects, parties, and fun that the family would pursue on the property over the coming generations. From forest stewardship and timber harvesting, to campsites and trail construction, to rock concerts and wine making. While they have since passed, these founders began something truly amazing; A tree farm that showcases the successful accomplishment of almost every objective a forest landowner could have. Timber production, wildlife, aesthetics, recreation, and forest resiliency. Valhalla embodies all these things with so little conflict as to look effortless.

I am I’m absolute LOVE with Valhalla Tree Farm! It is so magical, and I feel like I’m the only person on the planet when I’m there. It is truly a place of peace for me. I’m so very thankful to Dave and his family for making such a private and beautiful place available for those of us weary souls who desperately need a place to hide for a few days. Valhalla Tree Farm truly is Heaven!

Huckleberry Hill Shelter Camp
We camped at site 1 on Huckleberry Hill. What a lovely plot of land! It is beautiful, quiet, and secluded with only a few other sites in a very large area of land. You can see the A frame cabin up the hill but the campsite has trees and bushes that afford the campers privacy. Having an outhouse was handy and we appreciated that our dogs, who are reactive, were able to relax without people walking by constantly. The owner has a dog that is friendly but he didn’t allow her to visit after us giving them a heads-up during booking that ours can’t handle new friends. What a beautiful place! We spent a week and were sad to go. The trails are an added bonus!
