The Town of Taylor is the future living history museum, set in 16th-century Europe. We are also a working homestead that focuses on ethical and sustainable farming practices. We are an educational nonprofit organization that contributes to the local and historical reenactment communities through education and charity.  Welcome to the Town of Taylor Co-op Homestead! This place is a perfect fit for those looking for a quiet escape from the city. We are a 40-acre farm located in Southwest Washington.  We have 30 acres of secluded pasture available for campers or outdoor events which also includes a large pond and a wooded area.  Please look at our extra add-ons if you are interested in a farm tour or classes.  On the farm tours, you will get to meet our farm animals, tour our aquaponic greenhouse, and learn about our sustainable farming practices. The Town of Taylor is a convenient 5-minute drive from town, where there are restaurants, a brewery, and a grocery store.

Tent camping at Taylor Farm
Country music courtesy of nature
We loved the farm and the view from our spot was lovely. It was perfect for our granddaughter's first camp out. The Canadian Geese as well as the sheep and goats across the pond took our dogs some getting use to, but it was entertaining and good for them to experience. The frogs and birds lulled us to sleep. A coyote even sounded off to the delight of my granddaughter. The rain on Friday night was relaxing and refreshing; it made the grassy field smell amazing on Saturday. Our Host was welcoming and accommodating. We couldn't ask for a better weekend in the country.

Beautiful farm
Beautiful farm, wonderful people, idealic setting for a time out. The hosts were amazing. The tour on aquaculture was great, worth every minute and the few dollars. We definitely will be back. Our dogs loved it as well, it is a good idea to keep animals on a long lines as there are many wild distractions for them. Great for us to watch too.

Tent camping at Taylor Farm
Farm camping at its finest!
What a Fantastic place! Shira is such a wonderful person and you can tell she loves what she does. The farm has so much to offer. You can take a tour of everything the farm has to offer and even feed the animals. The campsites are a short drive from the farm and you have a great view that overlooks the property. There is a fire ring and a toilet that you can utilize while you stay. Absolute will come back and stay again on Shira farm.

Tent camping at Taylor Farm
Farm+
Shira was a great host with good communication, beautiful sites, and a fun and informative farm tour (aquaponics, chickens, pigs, sheep and goats . . . wow!). Our camp setting was next to their pond with abundant birdlife. The view of the surrounding mountains and historic barn was amazing, with bonus afternoon visits by deer and elk. Strongly recommend!

Camping with the wild
What an incredible change to camping at a state park. It was so quite and the views were remarkable. We saw so many wildlife (even talking group of coyotes) and endless stars. The highlight was going to Shira’s and JD’s farm to feed the animals. Kids even collected eggs. We learned so much what they are doing. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the memories :)

Tent camping at Taylor Farm
Our own field
This was our first official Hipcamp experience and it worked out great! We had the entire field to ourselves and that level of privacy these days is such a gift. They provided a table, toilet, water and a fire pit which made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you Shira for the tour of your farm and letting us meet your lovely chickens and goats! My only disclaimer is the field is fairly uneven in some parts so it can be tough for a little kiddo to walk on.
