Rainbow Springs was named by a group of hippies who bought the land back in the early 70's. It is named for the natural spring that flows seasonally on the property, and probably for whatever mind-enhancing substances they had at the time. I purchased 80 acres in 2015, and have recently put all but 7 into the Sacred Earth Land Trust, which owns a lot of adjoining land and has a horse farm down the road. I have had the most inspiring and peaceful experiences here, and intend to convert the barn into a home someday and live here. In the meantime, I always feel bad that more people aren't enjoying it so I hope Hipcamp can change that!
