There's no right answer when it comes to choosing from the abundance of great camping in the Pacific Northwest. But if you find yourself in Granite Falls, there's only one direction you can go for the best mountain camping of your life, and that's due east. Granite Falls marks the beginning of the Mountain Loop Highway, a long road that winds through the western Cascade Range, and camping near Granite Falls guarantees mountains of outdoor adventure. Just a few miles down the road, you'll discover the wild and scenic Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest; camp in forested seclusion under the cedars and hemlocks, jump on the trail before dawn for watercolor sunrises over the volcanic peaks, and take in the awe-inspiring views of Mount Baker and the rocky Cascades. If you're looking for a challenge, an afternoon's hike up Mount Pilchuck rewards climbers with panoramic views of the Cascades to the east and the Puget Sound to the west. Situated between two rolling rivers, Granite Falls was once an important portage site for Native Americans, and the canoe and fishing opportunities still abound in this quiet, outdoor-centric region of western Washington.

We spent so much time at this private sandy beach. Just a short path from Site 2!
If you pitch your tent down on the landing you can see the sunset looking north over a mellow eddy in the river.
View of Site 2 from the far side of the site. Both sites are gorgeous and huge - you honestly can't lose at The Landing!
The Landing is our top choice for campgrounds in Western Washington, and we love both sites!
The site had so much open space and we had 16 acres all to our selves!

With plenty of sleeping options, the yurt would be a great place to come in a group. There is one queen, a full, a twin with a pullout bed, and the couch.
A few of the sheep were timid, but most will come right up to you as long as you have food in hand!
Home sweet home!
The yurt is nestled back across from the fields, just up the driveway from the main house.
We had some rain throughout the evening, but didn't even mind because of how cozy we were inside!
