Spring Hill Farm is located in rural northwest Hanover County/Caroline County Border on the North Anna River in Virginia. We are between the Cities of Fredericksburg to our north and Richmond to our south. This site had Civil War activity throughout the region, especially along the banks of the North Anna. We are an African American family that has owned this property for 5 generations. My late grandparents instilled in me since when I was young the importance of land stewardship. My mother and I take it very seriously. My husband and I operate a seasonal organic produce farm during the summer months and I make Christmas wreaths during the holiday season. We have approximately 140 acres of wooded acreage (plenty of places to pitch a tent) with a couple of trails, one leading to the North Anna River. Except for the local freight trains, and occasional afternoon target shooting from neighboring properties, it is very quiet and peaceful. Boat ramp about 5 miles away. Walking access to river on site and at county line (1 mile). Local attractions within a 20 mile radius are Sassafras Shade Winery, Kings Dominion Theme Park, Virginia State Fairgrounds, Stonewall Jackson Shrine, Dominion Raceway, North Anna Battlefield, Scotchtown (former home of Patrick Henry), Ashland Berry Farm, and Randolph Macon College. Nearest store for groceries and gas is about 5 minutes away in Chilesburg. 10 miles to fast food and pharmacy. If you are so inclined, you could also have the opportunity to volunteer on an organic farm in the spring and summer months. #1 Bicycle Highway (Verdon Rd./State Rt. 684) less than a mile away. If you are so inclined, you could also have the opportunity to volunteer here on the farm in the spring and summer months. Summer Running Club: On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 7 pm., the public is invited to run/walk the property. Between trails, private road, and open field, it is easy to get your 5K. If nobody else shows, I am here. When he is not working, my XC son will be around for those who need more of a challenge, or vice versa! Spring Hill Farm
The whole family had a great time here! The kids loved the wide-open fields and the fireflies at night. Camille was so kind and accommodating - would highly recommend!

Campsite 2
Great location for privacy and relaxation. Camille welcomed us to the wonderful property and made sure we had everything we needed. We really appreciated that the campsite was on a green, surrounded by woods, and that we had the flexibility to pitch where we wanted to. The amenities were nice (pop-up toilet, benches, and fire pit) and we ordered eggs that were waiting for us on site already. Great view of stars and moon too!

Spring Hill Farm
Camille is extremely helpful and communicative; the space is absolutely gorgeous. We camped with 3 kids and a medium sized dog and had plenty of space to run around and explore. Site 1 had shade amongst the trees for tents, a giant meadow, and felt very secluded. Camille provided a wagon but if you have your own to transport gear to the sites (5-8 min walk), it would be helpful. We will for sure be back. .

I had a great time camping at Spring Hill Farm. Camille is so nice and accommodating. The space is nice and private. We brought our dogs and I think they are still upset we left lol. 10/10 and will definitely be returning.

Must stay!
Camille was an amazing host! Her directions were very detailed and made finding the camping spot a breeze. We stayed at campsite #1 were we had two wonderful choices of setting up our tent under the big night sky or back a bit under the protection of the trees. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring all the property has to offer. I would definitely recommend!

Spring Hill Farm
Felt very secluded! She was welcoming when we pulled up and showed us the campsite. Even included a video on how to get there before hand! I liked the makeshift composting toilet, definitely a step up from nothing. Fireplace was great quality. Definitely a good choice of place to stay.
