Sapphire Farms, Virginia
This farm is one of the oldest farms in Virginia dating back to the 1780's. We renamed the farm in 2012 to Sapphire Farms when we purchased the last remaining 225 acres out of 600 acres with the main farmhouse. This farm has streams, springs, a pond, trees, and old tobacco barns great for exploring. We also raise endangered heritage livestock breeds. This is a working farm that had been in limbo for years. When you visit, notice how green the grass is, how green and healthy the trees are, more importantly look at the water that flows on the farm. The pond is healthy and thriving. I am not sure the work is ever completed, but we hope that visitors who stay on the farm will see the beauty as we do daily. Enjoy.
