At the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the middle of a lush forest, lies an aquatic enthusiast’s dream. Nine boat launches, six sandy beaches, and the clear water of Philpott Lake are at your disposal, as well as a marina and fishing dock. Get an even better view of this pristine lake from the top of Philpott Dam. And after you’ve caught all the Black Bass and Walleye you can carry, dry off for the day and explore one of the many multi-use trails weaving through these woods. The Dogwood Glen Trail is a great trek whether you’re on a bike, a horse, or just your own two feet.
