Over the past two decades, we've planted thousands of grapevines on our 60 acre property. More recently, we have taken the next big step and started producing some fantastic wines from our grapes! Our property expands over 50 acres allowing you to enjoy sweeping views and a peaceful environment. We are located less than 1.5 hours from DC which makes us an awesome weekend adventure out of the city. Our property is also a short drive away from many hiking trails in Shenandoah National Park. After hiking in the park, come back to enjoy some of our wine at our picnic area overlooking the vines! We are also within striking distance of several other great restaurants, wineries and distilleries. Other great activities nearby include apple picking, spelunking, swimming, kayaking, rafting, and of course wine tasting. We are near to Shenandoah National Park, Shenandoah River, Luray Caverns, Skyline Caverns, and Old Rag Mountain. Your host is available and enjoys getting to know Hipcampers. We will greet campers upon arrival but leave campers to enjoy their stay!

Tent Camping with Vineyard views
This was a great experience! We enjoyed our view of the vines and explored the land! We appreciated our Saturday afternoon tasting and bought a couple of bottles for later! A great bonus having well water nearby! Will be back in the spring!

Geodesic Dome
False Advertising, Great Views
The winery itself is beautiful and secluded, with the Dome just a short 5 minute walk away. The bathroom was very nice. Short drive to Shenandoah and Skyline drive. If you are looking for dinner before arriving or on your way out the Dark Horse tavern is a very short drive with great pub food. The main issue is the price for the stay. I have only used Hipcamp for tent sites and way overpaid for this stay. The wine tasting included in our stay never happened as the host was not on site for our visit- leaving a bottle in the Dome would have been easy enough. No wine, the tent was clean on the inside but caked in dirt, that was not an issue for me but if you are hoping to look through the ceiling at stars you cannot see out of any of the clear paneling at all. I really hate to leave a bad review and I have had great experiences using Hipcamp before, but I would like people to know the description is egregious at best and wine tasting or even wine for sale on site is not available. The fireplace in the dome is also too small for any available firewood on site so cut your wood into smaller pieces before arriving.

Geodesic Dome
Engagement trip
We were super excited for this stay, we just got engaged and thought it would be perfect but it was definitely not worth what we spent. Upon arriving we were told the wine tasting included in our stay would only consist of one wine and they were out of all the others. The dome was also so dirty you could not see out of the windows or out of the stargazing window on the ceiling, they were all caked in dirt, a nice power wash would fix that. This was the main appeal of the place so it was a bummer. The vineyard was pretty though. And I’ve heard the wine is good, we just never got to try any.
