Leave the noise of the city behind and travel to Noojee, a town named after the Aboriginal word for contentment or place to rest. Surrounded by lush native bush and towering tree ferns, this picturesque town on the Latrobe River sits on the main access route to the ski fields of Mt Baw Baw and is home to a wide range of heritage and natural attractions. The property consists of 5 acres with a river, so you can set up a tent right next to the river and fish for dinner. The house is about 100 meters away from the camping area, but there are about 1000 Oregon trees that are 50 years old, so you can't see each other well, so you can enjoy nature freely. 4WD is recommended for easy access. We recommend tents/swags. 4WD with Heavy trailer is still very hard to enter when it is wet. Guests will have access to a toilet throughout their stay. There is a communal fire pit available, so guests can enjoy a campfire on the cool evenings. Please abide by any local fire restrictions during your stay. You can walk from my house to Noojee Heritage Centre, Trestle Bridge, Alpine Trout Farm, and Noojee Hotel for a delicious pizza, Cool beer from tool sheed and coffee from red duck cafe. You can drive to Toorongo Falls, Ada Tree in 10 minutes and Baw Baw Ski Resort in 40 minutes.Leave the noise of the city behind and travel to Noojee, a town named after the Aboriginal word for contentment or place to rest. We loved our stay, just like a fairie glen. The hosts were so lovely and treated us to the most delicious kimchi pancake! Thank you for the stay!

Noojee Riverside Camp
Incredible riverside gem!!
We loved camping on Seong Hye's property, it's in a beautiful spot with the river flowing metres away from the campsite! We all loved meeting the hosts and all the animals they have! Delicious kimchi pancakes as well! Plenty of space so we weren't near other campers, plenty of shade to hide from the weather and a few firepits to stay warm next to! Walking distance to both pubs and to the small bush goods store (firewood, fishing gear etc). I highly recommend this spot it had everything we could ask for! Thanks for having us!

Noojee Riverside Camp
Rainy trip but very peaceful
We really enjoyed the tranquil setting, it was very peaceful next to the river. Our host was attentive but also respectful of giving us our space - lovely to meet the animals too. It has been raining for a couple of days and we had no trouble getting out with our off-road camper trailer - 2WD and towing would likely have been challenging though.

Noojee Riverside Camp
Beautiful site by the river
This was a great place to camp at in Noojee. Kim is a lovely, wonderful host who was so kind to us the moment we met. She showed us her dogs and cats and made some kimchi pancakes for us which made us feel so welcome and comfortable. As soon as we arrived, I wished we had booked for more nights! The sites are far enough that you don't really see or hear other campers. It is a really calming site as you are right by the river and surrounded by tall, old trees. Will definitely be back, thanks Kim!

Noojee Riverside Camp
great for a long weekend!
Highly recommend! Kim and husband were super friendly - Kimchi pancake was delicious! there are 4 sites but they have enough distance between each to ensure privacy. loved that we felt like we were in an open camping area even though we were on a private site. no shower, but there is an outdoor tap for washing dishes, hands etc- though you need to walk up a hill. communal toilet is also up the hill. it's clean enough but know that you'll have to put your toilet paper into a bin. it was 28 degs this past weekend so the river was great for a dip. walking distance to a Cafe and noojee pub which is a must! the pub grounds were lovely next to the river. toorongo falls and the trout farm nearby are also a must if you don't have your own fishing gear! we caught 3 trouts to cook on the camp fire (Seong sells firewood, and so does the cafe).
