A mountain bikers dream. Over 50 miles of mountain bike trails from the property. With 238 acres, you will feel like you are the only one there. In addition, the Desert Wave Pool is at the foot of the hill which always has the same amount of water for cooling off even when the lakes are nearly empty. Learn more about this land: Wood Hill got its name because early settlers to the area used to gather wood to heat their homes on top of the plateau. It is a favorite hangout for locals who enjoy riding mountain bikes and ATVs on the property. Proceeds from the camp sites will be used to develop a climbing gym, zip line, confidence course and other fun amenities. So we hope you enjoy your stay enough to come back often.

Good spot between SLC and Moab
We enjoyed staying at the Easy Access Site 1! We just needed some ground to throw a tent on between SLC and Moab, and this did the trick. Firewood wasn’t available for us so consider bringing your own. It’s also windy up there so be prepared for that!

Beautiful area, remote yet close to town. Michelle greeted us and helped us to a great campsite in some trees. Restful night. Would stop here again.

Great one night start
I probably wouldn’t spend more than a night here. There aren’t clear signs of where to go, which spot is which. Def harder to find in the dark. With hiking trails being so close I wouldn’t leave anything there while I was away from site.

Site 10 - Juniper
Beautiful but safe??
The host was very nice and very helpful. Unfortunately my third day there while I was off working somebody decided to come and ransack my campsite, try to steal my tent and threw rocks in my camp stove. Honestly, I think they would have taken off with my tent if they had had a stake puller. So while the site is beautiful, if you're going to have to leave your campsite unattended for any length of time, this might not be the place for you. I had to leave a day early because I didn't feel safe after the destruction of my camp. I had kind of hoped that I would get a refund for that unused noght but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Site 1 - Easy Access
Upon arriving, we were unsure which site was the easy access and Michelle was quick to respond and help us. She was there in ten minutes or less and guided us to another site that provided more shade. We had the whole area to ourselves and had straight access to mountain bike trails! Would recommend and thank you, Michelle!
