Wahwahtaysee Resort, Texas

Wahwahtaysee Resort was started by a local Austin family, Robert Dillard and his two sons, Sammy and Donny Dillard. They had a vision to create a local getaway for their family and friends to escape the city life and experience the great outdoors.
Wahwahtaysee is Native American for firefly. Soon after purchasing the property, the family went camping together during the Spring. At dusk, the property was surrounded by fireflies. They had never seen so many fireflies at once, and it was an unforgettable experience.
We hope everyone enjoys Wah-wah-tay'see as much as we do.
- Robert, Sammy, and Donny
