We always love our visits to Woody's place. This was our fourth year visiting and this time we brought my parents who absolutely loved it. We had so much privacy and loved the sunsets, quiet and views. We also loved walking to the main community area and catching some live music Saturday evening. Can't wait to be back next year.

Super fun and had a lot of great amenities. We walked to watch the sun set and it was so beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to camp in the hill country

Thank you for sharing your paradise land with us. We loved the spacing between the camp sites and the available accommodations on your property. Restrooms were clean and the available warm water showers were amazing. The live local music on Saturday night was great to unwind after a day of hiking. Thanks again Woody and family for sharing.

We enjoyed our stay at Seco Ridge! The #1 secluded spot worked out well and was pretty private and quiet. We don't need all the common amenities provided but for those who do, its a nice option. There were a few times communication with the host was delayed, and while WiFi was available, the password was not posted. Otherwise, a great spot! Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely gorgeous area. I loved the ease of booking and getting to the campsite, and was very happy to see the chickens and a sweet cat when going to use the available restroom. Also was very pleased to see plenty of firewood at my site(since I chose the option to have it) thank you again! This was my second time here and I’m sure it won’t be the last :)

Another great stay at Seco Ridge Campground! Nice wooded spacious campsites and great owners! The bathroom are nice and the efrigerator in the shared kitchen is a nice perk!

We had an absolutely amazing time! It was the perfect short trip from San Antonio — just far enough to escape the city, relax, and take in the beautiful night sky. The peaceful, natural setting made it easy to unwind and reconnect with nature. There are plenty of options for every kind of traveler, from traditional camping spots to cozy bungalows you can rent. Such a great place for a quick getaway and some serenity under the stars! 🌟

I give this place 5 stars!! Has everything (restroom and shower) you need. I would 100% come back. Site 1 is secluded enough that you can hardly notice anyone else at the nearby campsite.

Camping at Seco Ridge was great! Site 7 is a little far from the bathroom for middle-of-the-night trips, but the showers provided and the privacy of site 7 more than made up for it!

This was mine and my husband’s second time visiting the Seco Ridge Campgrounds. This year we stayed in the Bunkhaus. Our best friend and my cousin also joined us for the adventure. The Bunkhaus is nothing short of incredible. It’s more of a tiny home with an awesome patio area with fun lighting, games, and luxury lounging. A HUGE storm came in while we were there and the Haus had no leaks, nothing like that- it is a true experience. The interior is gorgeous with drywall and recess lighting. The bed was incredibly comfy. Owners Woody and Elaine were so very accommodating and kind. They got us fresh firewood and even fresh eggs from the ground’s chickens! In the Haus, there’s a microwave and large mini fridge for snacks and the grounds have a communal fire pit, swings, outdoor kitchen, running water, hot showers and toilets- I have to wear orthodics temporarily which makes it difficult for me to walk and Woody and Elaine set up a chemical toilet right outside the door of the Haus for me. INCREDIBLY accommodating. The Seco Ridge campground itself is the only place I have ever seen the Milky Way with the naked eye. I do astronomy photography and I was able to take some incredible photos. My family and I sang karaoke outside up to quiet hours time at 11, and had an overall BLAST! The Haus is air conditioned, heated, and has just the quaintest and most fun ambiance. It is a pleasure every year and we can’t wait to come back again soon! The campsites were all spread out between each other so you have a lot more privacy than a normal campground. The community bathrooms were top notch for a camp ground (hot showers too). The community hangout spot was really nice and cool. The property was big and lots of areas to hike around and explore. A couple of campsites had amazing views as well. Overall, this place was 10/10 for camp getaway!

The BunkHaus
What a great setup! We stayed at Bunkhaus, was super comfortable. Vicinity to Garner state park is perfect for hiking. Brought the whole family, 3 boys and dog and everyone had a good time. Highly recommend and we will be back!

My family and I really enjoyed camping at Seco Ridge. The camp was well maintained, the sites were spread out so we were not on top of each other and still had privacy. The space was large enough for 2 large tents. The restrooms and showers were very nice. We would go again.

Site 4 - Secluded Tent Camping
Great little campground perfectly situated halfway between garner and lost maples state parks. Bathrooms and kitchen in shared zone covers your essentials while you get some good space and solitude at your site. Plenty of shade, easy to find. Recommend for families looking to explore the region but avoid overcrowded state park campgrounds.

Seco Ridge Campground is isolated but close to town and the park for swimming fishing. The tent spots are big areas, you can find some amazing views and on Sat nights they have a band come out and play. Woody and his wife Jessica are super nice people who will engage in conversation with you. If you want a nice peaceful relaxing get away this is the spot. Already planning my return trip.

Both my husband and I really enjoyed our weekend in the hill country, especially here at Seco Ridge! Woody was kind, responsive, and his directions were very clear. The campground itself is spacious, clean, and very quiet which was a plus! Bathrooms and showers were available as well. Each site is numbered and has its own unique characteristics; we reserved site 6 which had the BEST sunrise view. We came on a holiday so we were surprised to find that we were the only ones on the campground. Needless to say, we will definitely be back again and hope to enjoy the band/brewery on the campground next time!

Seco Ridge is a great place to stay for a nice hill country get away. The location is private, quiet, and well maintained. AND it’s pet friendly! Woody is a great host and a great singer as well! We’ll definitely be back!

Site 1 - Secluded Tent Camping
This campsite was BEYOND amazing !!!!! This place had an awesome section to spend time with the other campers AND had live music Saturday night !! Bathroom’s and showers were clean and updated !! Very much recommend staying here. Stayed in campsite 1 and was very secluded if you’re looking for something more to yourself and/or your family. Will definitely be back !! Thank you for an incredible experience Woody !!!

Everything about this site is absolutely beautiful. It was just the right size for a perfect getaway to relax and spend some time outdoors. The host were very friendly, including the dog and cat that hang out around the kitchen/bathrooms. This little hideaway had some small trails to explore, while the host had several unique art installations around the property as well. Can’t wait to plan another trip out there soon!!

Fantastic spot to set up camp at a central location in the hill country. This campsite is secluded as described. Lots of shade in the trees if you desire. Only a couple minute walk to the clean bathrooms and showers. A short stroll the other direction and you will see a clearing with epic hill country sunset views. We’re definitely coming back some day.

Even though there was a huge storm Friday night, we still had a great time! We stayed at site 7 and the quiet and seclusion was nice! It also helped the site is on higher ground so we didn’t get flooded. We did a short hike while it was dry and saw a lot of cool things around! Our dogs had a fun time and loved exploring. We definitely plan on going back in the future! Thank you for having us :)

Woody’s land was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and completely at ease. The property is spacious, peaceful, and beautifully maintained perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends. We especially loved how private and quiet it felt, surrounded by nature but still easy to access.
The campsite had everything we needed and more. The views were stunning, and the stars at night were magical. Woody was a fantastic host friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We made some unforgettable memories here, from campfire chats to exploring the area, and we’re already talking about coming back. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect and recharge with good company, this is the spot. Highly recommend!
