Alpine

The best camping near Alpine, Texas.

Our setup: sleeping bag and air mattress in the back of the car, plus a cooler as a makeshift table. There is also a picnic table on the other side of the campfire ring that makes a good spot for cooking and hanging out.
Hanging out at the site picnic table before heading south to Big Bend Ranch State Park.
You don't need a tent to camp! Make sure your vehicle can handle bumpy rides – the road to the campsite is definitely a primitive one.
Some of the interesting trinkets nearby the campfire circle.
Prepping some hot cocoa for the cool, foggy morning.
