Camping is in an idyllic location beside the Leven River, within a 100 acre natural forested property. The property fringes the Dial range nature recreation area and a nature conservation reserve. Camping is on river flats within a lush green ferny forested and sometimes misty valley, below Mt Duncan and Mt Lorymer. Very nearby there are popular hiking and mountain biking trails. Adjacent to the camping area the Leven River has some of the best trout fishing in North West Tasmania. There's places to kayak along with private river beaches to sit and relax, enjoy a paddle, swim or have a picnic. All camping is on river flats, tent's and small campervans can settle into small grassy clearings within tree's. While larger vans can set up on a larger cleared grassy area. There plenty of open space to throw a frisbee or have a game of cricket. The property is accessed from a very scenic 4 km well maintained gravel road that winds downhill to the base of the the valley. ***Please note there are no facilities. Please bring a camping toilet (there's a dumping point in Knights Rd, West Ulverstone) and your own rubbish collection. Campfires are permitted when there are no local fire restrictions in place .Camping is within a 5 acre area on a 100 acre natural forested property beside the Leven River. Leven River Camping On Wattle Farm
beautiful Leven River campsite
Leven River camp was a great riverside camping spot over the Easter weekend. There were only 2 other groups on site. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and evening fire with river view. Sam’s directions and communications were quick and easy to follow. James met us on site to check we were ok and was nearby if we needed help. The camping area is well kept and reasonably level. We had heavy rain on the last night but the ground remained fairly well drained so no access issues. The river bank is a bit steep so care needed when getting down to the rivers edge - but east access from the stony beach once there. We caught a few trout over the weekend , enough to have dinner for 4 on one night. Phone service is limited to sms and patchy at that . Wasn’t a problem for us as we were happy to be away from technology for a few days. It’s a short 15-20 min drive to Ulverstone and the coast when you want to explore further afield.

Leven River Camping On Wattle Farm
We really enjoyed our stay at Leven River Camping on Wattle Farm. What a beautiful, peaceful spot. James was awesome host who met us on arrival and showed us to the best spot which was nice and private with plenty of space and right next to the river. Plenty of firewood, good fishing and just a short 15 minute drive to all the conveniences at Ulverstone if you need them. Thanks again James for a really enjoyable stay! We'd love to come back on our next trip.

Leven River Camping On Wattle Farm
A very pretty spot above the river. Not really that easy to get to river from our campsite but was a quick walk to easier access. Very flat and level with nice grass despite the dry weather. We swam (very cold) and paddle boarded along river. Nice spot.
