Learn more about this land: Situated just outside of Columbia, TN (one of the state's most up-and-coming cities) and right on the same road as our 11th President, James K. Polk, once lived - Peekaboo Meadows & The Big Red Barn are waiting to welcome you! Pull in, drive down the grass road and over the small creek, put it in park at the barn and go stretch your legs on the 4o+ acres surrounding. During the day, feel welcome to walk the serene meadows or take a cleared trail up the ridge to the treehouse! Don't be surprised to be greeted by all kinds of wildlife including deer, turkey, foxes, or our goofy, fun-loving Golden Doodle named "Shme." If walking isn't your thing, you are welcome to drive around (4wd recommended) to go scout out where you'd like to set up camp for the night. If you prefer more peace and privacy, there are two beautiful meadows to choose from which both reach deeper into the property. If you'd prefer the comfort of additional shelter, you are welcome to park and/or set yourself up at the barn instead (which is a little closer to the main road). There is power to the barn - providing light, 30AMP power for RV hookup, as well as an electrical receptacle that you can run your extension chords from. For the extra adventurous - you may want to take a hike up "Thornbush Trail," which follows the ridge right up the middle of the property and has beautiful views of both meadows to either side. Or, for a more direct route, take a walk right up our dirt access road to the upper ridge, where you can peek through the treeline for beautiful elevated views eastward toward Columbia. Our treehouse (in progress) is located right at the top of the access road. Though the treehouse has not yet been completed, feel free to climb the 20' ladder up the inside of the hollowed out trunk and pop your head out the top! It sure makes a great photo! Come back to the barn area in the evening to lounge in the hammock, hang out around the picnic table, or cook dinner and roast some marshmallows over the wood burning fire pit with cooking grill attachment (fireside tools & 1 bundle of firewood provided). One filtered and cooled 5 gallon portable Igloo water cooler will also be provided and placed on the picnic table outside the barn. One rolling 96 gallon covered trash bin will be placed inside the barn (please bag your trash). "Luggable Loo" portable compost toilet is also available for use inside the barn. Tho cell & wifi are spotty here on the farm, we will provide one walkie talkie during your stay for direct communication with the main residence, should there be any issues or needs that arise. On the flip side, privacy is respected and use of the electronics is completely at your discretion! For recreation (each within 15-20 minutes of the farm):   1. (PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION AND LISTING BEFORE BOOKING) Located in the beautiful rolling hills of Culleoka, TN come and enjoy some peace and quiet on our 93-acre horse farm. Located only 15 minutes from the historic downtown Columbia, TN and one-hour from Nashville. You can have the best of both worlds! Our herd of 11 friendly horses are free-roaming, and will likely come and visit you at your campsite. This is the only campsite on the property and you will have complete privacy. Book a trail ride to enjoy the scenery from the saddle (please check on availability for rides.) Come and help with the morning feeding routine at the barn! There's great cell service at the campsite. The tent is equipped with up to 4 cots maximum (additional guests must bring their own sleeping set-up.) Each cot has a memory foam mattress made up with fresh linens. There is no electricity at the campsite, but we have plenty of solar lighting and a nice big fire pit. There is also a small wood stove inside the tent for cold weather camping! Firewood is $15/bundle (for wood stove and/or campfire) or you can forage your own! The barn has an outdoor propane hot water shower. The shower may not be available during the extreme cold. There is a pit toilet at the campsite and always a roll of TP in the tent. There is a large charcoal grill/smoker at the site. Please clean grill after use. If you are bringing your furr babies please bring something for them to sleep on. Do not let pets sleep on comforters, sheets, or pillows. The road to the campsite goes through a very small creek and up a little hill. Very low vehicles may bottom out. In the rainy months, campers need 4-wheel drive to get out to the site. Some items you will want to bring: *Camp chairs *Flashlights (we have a few small camp lights in the tent) *Cooking equipment and water We live on the property and will be available to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. We ask campers to please check in before 7pm and be courteous about communicating your ETA, as we will be planning our day around your arrival time. We are available via messaging up until 8pm.

Enjoy some privacy just 35 minutes west of Loveless Cafe' in Nashville. 20 miles south of Dickson, TN. The 48 acre campground is almost all woods and access to trails on about 35 acres. More trails are coming. There is about a 1/2 acre of field to park in between the road and the creek if you don't have an off road vehicle. Mother Nature has a lot to offer when you cross the creek into the first two campsites that are on the 30' creek. One big spring runs through the middle of the 2 sites with small cascading waterfalls. Both sites have string lights and 120V extension cords. These two sites are right next to each other so if you have another couple that wants to join you these two spots are perfect. Expand the pictures to a full screen as you scroll so the description will show up at the bottom of the picture. Not all pictures are on the property but describe close places to visit. SITE ONE: The nicer of the two sites along the creek, has granite counters, a round fire pit with a fold down heavy cooking grate, charcoal grill and a large wrought iron table and chairs. RENT A CAMPER WITH SITE 1 or BRING YOUR PERSONAL CAMPER: There is a camper site option on the other side of the creek with stairs and stones to cross the creek. 30 amp. 240 and 120 volt plugs. Click on additional fees for camper electrical hook up. Split wood is available for all 3 sites from a neighbor but is now left by the rick on the camp site. Just donate what you think is fair for the wood or grab any fallen dead wood from the forest for free. I suggest at least $5.00 per 20" bundle. And no plastic wrapping that's bad for the environment. SITE TWO: Also along side the 30' creek. There is a round steel fire pit surrounded with wrought iron chairs, a separate picnic table, granite countertop work space and a small grill. 2 flat areas for tents. Set your chairs in the creek in front of your site. The clear cold water is a great place to relax and cool off or watch crawfish, minnows and salamanders and the occasional blue herron. 120V and string lights. SITE THREE: "Still Hollow" is more private and located right in the middle valley of the property. There is no electricity but you can still enjoy the sound of the small cascading waterfalls and creek that run along side of the site for a relaxing sleep. There is a granite countertop, charcoal grill and fire ring. A small round wrought iron table and 4 chairs are there for a place to eat lunch. The old moonshine barrels are still barely standing by the spring. This site is also accessed from the opposite side of the campground on Ben Fly Rd or Greer Rd for the serious off roaders. 4 wheel drive may be necessary but a Hyundai car entered through the creek in 2 wheel drive. It was dry though. STAR GAZING for all 3 sites: There is a cleared area on top of a hill side for stargazing far from the city lights. CHECK IN: Check in can be as early as you like if the present campers have checked out. You can always hang out elsewhere on the property and start your day to explore and hike till they leave. Just let us know in advance. And you can stay all day the day of check out but you may have to pack up and park elsewhere if other campers need the spot. If not. Stay till dark. PHOTOS: EXPAND THE PHOTOS TO A SINGLE VIEW! You can see the description of each photo and which site is in the picture. Some are not at the campsite but nearby attractions. VEHICLE TYPE AND PARKING: In order to drive up into the campsite, you may need a 4x4 vehicle but definitely need ground clearance. If you do not have a 4x4 vehicle or ground clearance, that is okay, park in the field and bring your water shoes for campsite 2. There are stairs and rocks to cross over to Site 1. Stepping stones for site 2 are coming soon. LOCAL ACTIVITIES: TOUR THE AREA IN A CAN-AM: Check out 'Fisher's Off Road' to rent a really nice 4 seater CAN-AM machine. Drive around the local dirt roads for miles and learn the history of Moon Shine Alley, drive through many creeks and see some beautiful views. We took to tour with Fisher and it was a blast. https://www.fishersoffroadrentals.com/ This company supports the locals and cleans up the trash on the sides of the roads; a great service to the area. FISHING: https://www.fishingworks.com/tennessee/maury-tn/lake/hooker-chemical-pond-d/ 30 minutes away are 3 small lakes, or very large ponds. I think it costs $5.00. They have small boats for rent as well. FISHING, KAYAKING AND CANOEING: PINEY RIVER Canoe rental: https://www.pinewoodcanoecamp.com/ Great fishing, floating and they have camping as well. Beautiful tiny home cabins, Glamping tents that are amazing. Park your own camper on the river. If you like to meet other campers, this is the place to go.

As well as several delicious restaurants and useful amenities such as Brooks’ grocery, O’Reilleys, etc. Our farm is 30 minutes from Historic Franklin, and 50 minutes from downtown Nashville. We offer two easy to access spaces right off the gravel driveway. There is a picnic area with table and chairs, a porta potty and a garbage can. We are constantly improving our farm so please visit us regularly to enjoy our new offerings. Riding lessons are available, however, must be booked with your reservation for an additional charge. Although we welcome you to enjoy the horses, please refrain from feeding them. Their stomachs are very sensitive and a wrong food can be fatal to them. Please do not pet horses through the fences. It creates bad and dangerous habits in horses and many fences are electrified. Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash. We look forward to you staying with us!

Welcome to our RV parking tucked away on this 8-acre rural property located on the outskirts of North-East Murfreesboro. The spot measures 80' by 20' and offers a decent amount of privacy and a break from the city. This site is situated off to the side of the front yard in what we call "the triangle." Please note that this site is still a work in progress. At the time of this writing, we have recently finished installing water and electric hookups (50, 30, and 20 amp). Additionally, the site includes WiFi and Ethernet Internet access for your convenience. You'll have the entire front yard's approximately 3 acres to walk dogs or simply enjoy a stroll. At night, the low light pollution offers amazing views of the sky while deer can often be seen crossing the property. Door Dash and pizza delivery services are available. Plus, we're just 15 minutes away from several points of interest in the area, including the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex, MTSU, Stones River National Battlefield, and the equestrian center. Security cameras are in use on this property with one that can see the RV site from about 100 yards away. Other cameras can see the front yard. None of them are focused on the RV site nor is it our intention to monitor the RV site.

In December of 2012, our family purchased 125 acres located in south central Tennessee, Bedford County. With no permanent driveway, two creeks to cross to access the land, barbed wire fence everywhere and an old hay barn, there was much work ahead to be done. We have made many improvements over the years but the two creeks offer the same beauty. Now two bridges and a driveway cross over the two creeks before they merge into one, producing the name Crossing Creeks Farm. We are passionate about producing great food for our family’s table and yours. With a commitment to producing pasture raised, organic fed and soy free everything through regenerative farming practices, our focus is grass-fed meats and eggs. Our second passion is hosting guests right here on the farm with unique farm stays.Learn more about this land:At Crossing Creeks Farm, we are passionate about producing pasture raised, organic fed, soy free food for our family's table and yours. We are now offering our private farm campsite complete with outdoor bathhouse and picnic pavilion. This site offers many comforts of home but while still enjoying the outdoors unplugged. Each Adirondack cabin is open air with the front fully screened. Upon arrival, park in front of our farm store where we will meet you with our tractor and wagon to load your belongings. We will deliver your gear to the campsite located across the creek while you get a brief tour of the bathhouse and facilities.Our private campsite sits in the bend of one of our farm's creeks with two large old trees in the middle, along with a fire pit, picnic pavilion, 2 Adirondack cabins, and an outdoor bathhouse. Whether you are booking for just yourself or a group up to 10, you have the entire campsite to yourself during your stay. The nightly price includes the campsite for 2 guests, each additional guest (including children) is an additional $20 per guest per night. Each Adirondack cabin can sleep up to 5. Each is complete with a queen bed, twin bunk bed and a cot. Linens are provided but feel free to bring your own too. Please bring your own pillows. You will need to bring your own towels, washcloths and soaps for the outdoor bathhouse. The bathhouse includes a shower with hot water, toilet/changing stall, and outdoor sink for washing hands and dishes. There is no electricity in the campsite so please bring flashlights/lanterns. The pavilion and bathhouse have beautiful solar powered string lights that automatically come on at dark. The front of the campsite sits just outside our horses' pasture. So while sipping your morning cup of coffee, you may see horses or wild turkey or even deer. And with our farm store just a short walk from the campsite, you can pick up fresh eggs for breakfast or a juicy steak for dinner. We also have plenty of fire wood and fire starters available for purchase. Also enjoy a walk on our private farm walking trails.Our family lives on the farm so let us know if you need anything during our stay.Our farm is located only 1.5 miles off the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, which offers great tourism opportunities at distilleries such as Jack Daniels in Lynchburg, George Dickel and Nearest Green. The historic town of Bell Buckle is only 6 miles from our farm and offers great shopping (lots of antiques), seasonal craft fairs/events and dining. And with so many water sources like Normandy Lake, Duck River, Tim's Ford Lake and the Elk River nearby, the day adventures- kayaking, swimming and fishing-are endless. With Nashville just an hour away, the opportunities for making great memories are abundant.

Less than an hour’s drive south of Nashville, Henry Horton lies on the shores of Duck River, one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. With more than 10 miles of trails that wind through various ecosystems, there are plenty of hiking and biking opportunities for all levels of ability, including an easy paved loop. You can also head to the 18-hole golf course, disc golf course, and trap and skeet range, then cool off in the Olympic-sized swimming pool. Henry Horton State Park has 56 RV sites and 19 tent specific sites, as well as two backcountry sites and six hammock-only, primitive sites.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. As Henry Horton is a popular destination, booking in advance is highly recommended, especially during the summer and on weekends year-round.
  2. Booking can be easily done online or by phone and up to one year in advance. 
  3. Double-check your dates before booking—a non-refundable booking fee is charged.

When to go

The summer season from Memorial Day to Labor Day is the park’s peak period, with many visitors arriving to enjoy the trails and cooling off afterward in the swimming pool. As a result, the park can get very crowded, even on weekdays. That said, there’s plenty to do year-round—spring and fall are great for watching migrating birds, and visiting outside of the summer season means beating both the crowds and Tennessee's intense heat and humidity.

  • The park’s camp store sells basic camping supplies, snacks, drinks, and souvenirs.
  • Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.
  • Only certified heat-treated firewood is allowed to enter the park.
