Tiny Dreamer Homestead

9 sites ¡ RVs, Tents4 acres ¡ Hornsby, TN
Welcome to Tiny Dreamer Homestead. If you are traveling through or just want to get away, we would love to host you! The land is mowed down, lush green with some trees in the middle and just all around beautiful. I just added 4 gravel Rv pads and gravel paths around the homestead as well as 6 large wildflower gardens. Right now there are no activities on the land. Just a place to stay if someone wants to camp or you can walk on the paths. If you have a golf cart, you can ride those on the property. I do own 13 chickens which are a delight and I sell farm fresh eggs. Produce coming eventually. I also rent my tiny house on wheels on Airbnb. The camp sites have not been broken in yet so the spots are not in a designated area yet. There are 4 tent camp spots to choose from. The photos you see are the areas you can choose from. I supply a fire pit for your use during your stay.

The best camping near Big Hill Pond State Park guide

Overview

About

Scuttle off the beaten path and find yourself on the serene banks of Big Hill Pond. This state park is not the most hot n’ hoppin’ spot and embraces it - there are shelters along the trails for campers and backpackers (they’ve even got bunks!), with miles of trails for horses, mountain bikers, and hikers. The 5,000 acres of lush forest almost reach pure wilderness status in their feeling of remoteness. Make sure to pack your fishing rod for the bream and bass, and don’t miss the vertical climb up the fire tower - it’s the best view around (except for the birds’).

When to go

The ideal time to visit Big Hill Pond State Park is during the spring and fall when the weather is mild and the natural scenery is at its peak. Summer brings warmth perfect for water activities, though be prepared for the buzz of insects. Winters are quiet, offering a stark, peaceful beauty, but some facilities may be limited, so plan accordingly.

Know before you go

  • Check the park's operating hours, typically from 8:30am to 5pm, before planning your visit.
  • Stay informed about any trail closures or safety advisories by visiting the park's official website.
  • Accessibility varies across the park, so inquire ahead if you require special accommodations.
  • Bring along your essentials, as amenities may be limited in certain areas of the park.
  • Respect the natural habitat by disposing of trash properly and adhering to park regulations.
