Poinsett is one of the largest lakes in South Dakota, and when it comes to lake, size totally matters. You can set up camp along the lakeshore, and then continue on with your action-packed foray into nature. Swimming, water sports, boating, and fishing are all excellent ways to pass the time. The Poinsett Potpourri Trail makes for a lovely excursion that’s perfect for walkers and bikers alike. If your crew wants to hang inside for a bit, then check out the Lake Poinsett Visitor Center and Museum. You’ll learn some fun facts about the history of the area that you can use to impress all of your friends back home.
