Do not flush hygiene products, wipes, nor excessive tissue, EVEN ONES MARKED AS FLUSHABLE, as this will cause a blockage and render all plumbing unusable. - ***All trash must be BAGGED and TIED in kitchen-sized 13 gallon bags, then placed in the outdoor trash bins. The trash company does not have a dump truck; they pick up each bag individually. Please be mindful of this. Dog poop bags must be enclosed in trash bags as well*** - Pets require an $80 additional cleaning fee; there is a $180 fee for bringing an unannounced pet. Ensure all pet waste is picked up. We have seen bobcats and bears, please be mindful of your pets. - We are vape & 420 friendly, however tobacco products are permitted OUTDOORS ONLY. - Outdoor cushions are located in the storage bench under the outdoor tv. In order to preserve them, please place cushions back into the storage bench when not in use. - Magnetic darts, cornhole bean bags, and board games are located inside of the coffee table and outdoor bench. - The cabin has a Take One, Leave One library; feel free to bring a book you’re finished reading and trade out for one of ours. Of course, this means there may be all sorts of books on our shelves, which may not represent the opinions or values of your host. If you see something you find offensive or inappropriate, please tuck it away and let us know. - You may eat and play on the whiskey barrel arcade game, however do not move, lean on, or hit the glass top. - If you are sensitive to political signs/flags (US, Confederate, or otherwise), this may not be the right listing for you. Although we do not post affiliations, some surrounding homes do. - Because this is a rural area, we recommend turning off any lights that are not directly in use, as bugs are very prevalent and attracted to light, especially at night. **If you are sensitive to insects (indoor and outdoor), this listing may not be the right fit.** - There is community area access, however it is not always maintained. For boating especially, we recommend the nearest Boat Launch at 499 Choestoea Rd, Westminster, SC, where there are docks, a public launch, and a sandy beach. - The inflatable hot tub can reach temperatures up to 104°F. Due to the nature of inflatable hot tubs, it will lose about 5°F per hour that the lid is off; weather conditions and use of the jets may expedite this cooling. Unlike a traditional hot tub, there are no seats inside. There are flower-shaped sponges in the hot tub, which help keep the water clean. **If you prefer to take these out while in the water, they must be placed back in when you exit. DO NOT throw these over the railing.** After use, please toss 2 sanitizer shock tablets into the water (located above the stove). There will be a video on hot tub operation in your check in directions.

Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog. We also have a small orchard and a garden. Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails. As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives. We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

Learn more about this land:One can expect a wonderful wilderness experience at Earthganic Farm’s riverside camping. The path down to the sites is drivable in a truck, SUV, or van. There’s always the option to park up at the house and walk down (it’s a ten minute walk from the house to the river) and if you let us know ahead of time, we can bring your camping stuff down for you. We have two single kayaks that we rent for $15/day and you can put them in right on property and kayak up and down the river. There are walking/dirt biking trails through pine forest and nice hardwoods down by the river. The brave can take dips in the river. Just down the street there is a boat access ramp for canoes, kayaks, and flat bottom boats.

Chattooga Belle Farm – They Built It! By Tracy McCoy I wonder if when standing on the sprawling in upstate South Carolina, just a short hour trip from Greenville, Ed and Kitty Land heard a small still voice say, “if you build it, they will come.” While there isn't a baseball field on the property, that's about all that is lacking. Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on 138 acres with a small seasonal retail store. Soon people found their way to the soon-to-be full-fledged farm and they felt it; that feeling that you've found a very special place. Peaceful, majestic and unlike any other, Chattooga Belle Farm is quite possibly the perfect place for any event and most certainly an ideal place to pledge your heart and life to another. Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more! Today, the farm offers tours for visitors which offer incredible views and a visit to their horseshoe lake. Educational in nature, the tours leave guests more in love with the land than when they arrived. The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website as is farm tour info, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake. The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. Brandies, Bourbons and Whiskeys are aged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains. The farm also boasts a challenging 18-hole Disc Golf course. The course is open to the public and the cost is $3 per game or an annual pass offering unlimited games is available for only $25. The holes are placed throughout the farm enabling play even when private events are taking place on the property. The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. The cattle are raised on pasture which produces some of the healthiest beef you can buy. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier. Beef is offered in a variety of cuts boxed ahead for you when you call to order. A complete list of options is offered on their website with ordering instructions. Belle's Bistro at Chattooga Belle Farm serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and soups made with the freshest ingredients possible. The bistro is open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday from April – October. Their menu includes Certified South Carolina Grown food which makes for an outstanding menu, also which can be viewed on chattoogabellefarm.com. When it comes to weddings, Chattooga Belle Farm has it all! Swimming, Hiking, Fishing, Kayaking, Roasting Marshmallows, Picnicking or just Relaxing. Pets are welcome, on leashes, portable water, picnic tables, wifi, and trash bins are available on property. Camp fires are permitted (outside of burn bans), and firewood is available for sale on site. Guests love staying with us: "My wife, 2 dogs, and I had an amazing weekend stay at Debbie's campsite. The RV site was level and all the hookups were conveniently located and worked great. Her lakefront property is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed walking our dogs around the property and also taking some camping chairs down to the dock to take in the sunset. The firepit can hold a massive fire and I would definitely recommend buying some firewood from Debbie as it is perfectly seasoned and burns great. We really appreciated having the gas grill/charcoal combo grill on site to cook dinners on and there is plenty of space to play some yard games (cornhole, frisbee etc). We will absolutely come back!"

This property is located right across the river, or a short 5-minute drive to Dolly Cooper State Park that draws in disc-golf enthusiasts and park explorers alike. Camp moondog is only a 10-minute drive from the world-renowned Downtown Greenville, a destination known for its excellent restaurants, festivals, shopping, and social scene. Being situated so close to the city-center means that food delivery is just a click away, and running out for that last-minute necessity is a breeze. This is a unique opportunity to get “off the grid” without having to make those ‘off the grid’ sacrifices. At Camp Moondog, our philosophy is to offer a carefree, clean, natural environment for a relaxing camping vacation experience. We will be happy to use our ATV's to assist with getting your supplies to any of the campsites--just shoot us a message on the app if you need help! Because there is always ample deadfall all over the property for firewood collection, pre-packaged firewood bundles are not supplied or available for sale. Me and my wife love in a tiny home setup off grid. There is no power on property. There is running water and multiple creeks lots of Forrest. The property is always a work in progress and there are dogs and cats and chickens. Learn more about this land: Enjoy a quiet stay in the mountains of WNC by staying at one of our secluded forest campsites. Thank you for checking out our property! Our names are Clayton and Tiffany, we own Indian Creek Rentals, llc. We have a couple vacation homes also on property as well as a mini farm. We do have approx. 2 miles of hiking trails that you can enjoy straight from Camp. We now have two campsites available to guests. - Site 1 has a hot tub as well as a covered shed to stay dry. - Site 2 is a completely primitive site in the woods equipped with a picnic table and firepit. - We currently do not have any bathroom facility or bath house on property. We do plan to build on in the near future. Until then guest are required to bring their own camp toilets. Both sites are pack in/pack out. Happy Camping!

Unlike hotels, at Cast-A-Way Cabins, we provide 3 lockable boat shelters equipped with power for charging batteries, lighting and water. Broyle’s Landing is only 1/4 mile away, Portman Marina is just 2.9 miles away & Green Pond Landing is only 5.2 miles away. If you're a Clemson Tigers fan, Clemson, SC is only 15 miles away! This cabin has a full refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee pot, full size sofa, YouTubeTV, WIFI, 1 full bed with twin bunk, full bath. A covered outdoor patio/complete kitchen includes TV, 2 picnic tables, Blackstone and Pit Boss grills, commercial size sink, fire pit, corn hole game and Tiki Toss.. We are pet friendly and charge a fee of $50 per pet per stay due to extra cleaning. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and are not allowed to be left unattended in the cabin.

About

Hemmed in by the Cherokee Foothills and fronting the 56,000-acre Lake Hartwell, this park provides myriad ways to enjoy the water. Bring your own watercraft and cruise the lake, paddle the tranquil coves, or fish for bass, crappie, and catfish. A single, short nature trail provides the only distraction from the water, but most visitors stay shoreside to swim, picnic, and soak up the scenery. Campers can choose from paved campsites, walk-in tent sites, and camper cabins at Lake Hartwell Campground, all within a short walk of the lakeshore.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. You can reserve one of 115 RV/tent campsites, along with the 13 walk-in tent sites and two camper cabins, via the South Carolina State Parks website. Campsite reservations require a minimum 2-night stay.
  2. Online reservations open 13 months in advance; same-day reservations must be made directly through the park.
  3. Campsites can book up fast, especially for lakefront sites. Book a minimum of three months in advance to avoid disappointment.

When to go

Lake activities take place year-round at Lake Hartwell. Come in summer to swim and enjoy water sports, or wrap up warm for a winter fishing cruise. Campsite rates are often reduced outside of peak season (April through October), so budget campers can make the most of seasonal deals. The park is open daily from sunup to sundown.

Know before you go

  • Lake Hartwell State Park is at the South Carolina-Georgia border, about a 45-minute drive southwest of Greenville along Interstate 85. 
  • All South Carolina state parks require an admission fee in addition to camping fees.
  • Park facilities include visitor center and park store, two boat ramps, a fishing pier, picnic areas, and playgrounds. Wifi is available at the visitor center.
  • You can bring your own boat and watercraft to Lake Hartwell; a Georgia or South Carolina fishing license is required for fishing. Swimming is permitted at your own risk—there is no lifeguard patrol.
