This camp is an easy seven minute drive from the Gympie Music Muster site. Get in early to set up camp at your choice of positions on a mostly flat paddock in the crook of huge private valley. 4WD is not totally necessary but may be advantageous in wet weather or to those wanting to get off the beaten track. With creek frontage, shade trees overhead and ranging hills behind, at this camp site you will be sure to catch sight of many birds, wallabies, and other wildlife, perhaps even wild deer. Bring your camera! There is a porta loo (and coming soon, a hot shower) on site, we will hire more if bookings are thick but if you are self contained that is awesome! We have a few fire pits and rings available. Exploring the area is a must. You have the creek right here and the forest, nearby are National Parks with marked trails, more creeks to swim in and wildlife to observe. Bunya Farm Produce is open on Saturday mornings for a taste of the best offerings around and Amamoor markets greet the steam train every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday morning. There are many farm-gate suppliers in the region for you try our fresh produce. At Kybong Gems there is a wonderful gem and mineral exhibit, a rock shop and every August the site comes alive with rockhounds from across the nation excited for the Gemfest and camp-out. Also at Kybong is "Hell Town Hotrods" as you imagine, this place is an Alladin's Cave for those into anything vintage, retro, car or petrol.... complete with a workshop pumping out custom hotrod rebuilds. There is a neat cafe and bar on site too. More for the gemologist or mineral hounds, Gympie is close by with the Heritage Museum, featuring the history of gold mining and industries of the area. You can learn how to pan for gold there then come back and practice in your own private bit of creek! The Gympie Region Art Gallery always has high quality exhibits and houses a gallery store representing many of our quality local artisans. Art lovers won't be disappointed, many of our regions artists have been exhibited in state and national galleries and some even overseas. Nature photographers won't need to go far from camp, if they need to leave at all. Amamoor Creek is abundant with enough wildlife, flora and fauna to keep you busy for days! We look forward to seeing you but don't worry, it may only be to let you in the front gate! It's a rural area with farms around so we keep the gates as find them to ensure no accidental movement of cattle.

La Dolce Vita @ Amamoor Creek
Very nice camp site. Highly suggest. The only suggestion is to reduce the price based on the amenities.

Secluded quiet private space
We loved the bush camp feel at Steve's property. He was a super friendly guy and helpful in every way. The campsite does have some free roaming cattle and plenty of cow pats, but nothing that impeded upon our enjoyment. We loved the peace and quiet, birdlife and the lack of crowds. Exactly what we were after.. the more isolated the better, with plenty of room to kick the footy and play finska etc. The creek was certainly down in water levels, as is everywhere at the moment, but it was easy to imagine how special this place is with some more water and grass. Thank you for sharing your land with us and our dogs. I'm sure we will return.

La Dolce Vita @ Amamoor Creek
Loved the open space! We picked a great spot by the creek and in the mornings the sun peaked through on our campsite which was perfect on these cold days. Steve was super friendly and happy to show us some good spots for us. There is a portaloo situated in the middle of the grounds and lots of space for the dog to run around. Creek was too cold to jump into but can see it being a nice dip during the warmer period. Not too much around in regards to walking trails on the grounds so would have to drive out of the two gated property and visit the other sites for waking tracks.

Fantastic location. We only had to share the whole place with one other party. The kids had a ball exploring the creek and what they called the rainforest

This was a nice big area to camp in, we arrived when a big group were there but it didn't matter as there was so much room to spread out. The river is gorgeous. The hosts were lovely and showed the kids their critter collection. We would love to spend a whole week here chilling out next time.
