Raccoon Creek State Park
A secret trail that leads a 50-acre meadow hidden amongst the trees.
Enjoy a park that the state of Pennsylvania has continued to develop since the 1930s. In addition to recreation areas, enjoy large tracts of undeveloped land and modern cabins in this popular wilderness area.
Start your vacay at 100-acre Raccoon Lake. Put in your kayak or canoe to find that perfect fishing spot. Or, splash around by the shoreline. Anglers typically find trout, panfish, bass, carp, or walleye here.
Follow Frankfort Mineral Springs Falls Trail for a glimpse into the park's history. See remnants of a 19th-century health resort, such as crumbling brick walls and stone foundations. The falls themselves form a natural amphitheater of rock and water. Visit the falls in winter to view them frozen in place.
Marvel at the 314-acre Wildflower Reserve. More than 700 species of plants grow here. Trails lead
