A literal marathon of shoreline, the twenty-six-miles of pristine shoreline that border the seemingly endless Lake Marburg is just one of the draws that lure backpackers to Codorus State Park; soundtracked by singing song birds, foot prints litter the otherwise flawless banks with trace travels of waterfowl―and rippled with breaching bass. Aside from the avian foul that inundates the waterfronts found in the park, Codorus State Park also offers-up an allure to the angling masses; the lake is well-stocked with game fish such as trout and catfish. And, once your dominant arm’s tired from the ongoing strain of your favorite rod-and-reel, take in the scenic landscapes that canvass the park’s nineteen-miles of hiking trails, enveloped by the shading vegetation. And, when your upper and lower body are thoroughly exhausted, you can take secluded refuge in one of the parke’s well-equipped, accessible campsites; both primitive and electric hookup experiences are offered.
