We are located on what used to be one of the stagecoach stops on the Applegate Trail. There is an ancient tree that was if the oral story of the land is accurate, the Trading tree. It was the place where swap meets between the local native tribes would gather and bring their firs, and other goods to trade with the white traders of the time. It's a peaceful place to be, the property backs up to timber property. It feels more isolated than it is. The nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away.  Learn more about this land: You can pitch a tent in the middle of 80 acres and feel totally isolated. Wr have a camping area on the front half of the property. Because of storm damage, there's a lot of downed trees and broken limbs further into the land. We are trying to get the land under control but it is slow going. You are welcome to drive up on the dirt road and a quad could be used but there are no riding trails. You can pitch a tent in the middle of 80 acres and feel totally isolated. Beautiful land and a fun trip. There were other campers but we still had privacy.

It was a nice stay for the night! We got there pretty late but made it there pretty easily. Would definitely stay here again

Had a great night's rest on David and Dawn's land. Spot was perfect for our purposes- very convenient, super affordable and clear directions. Thanks to the hosts for offering such a place to land for weary travelers such as me and my partner, who were breaking up a long drive.

Nice spot to crash on a road trip, beautiful and secluded. Wasn’t able to find a level spot for tent camping. Plenty of train and traffic sounds. Had to guess with some directions, a couple signs would be helpful.

Secluded and quiet
Our secluded site fit us to a tee. We were visited almost on a daily basis by a flock of wild turkeys! Also, nice to have a portapotty, but not necessary since we were totally self contained. Our host’s daughter Brooke met us and was very helpful in getting us settled. Our site was close to cycling and hiking trails, plus a visit to coastal towns. Highly recommend for those campers who don’t require a lot of amenities.
