2024 total eclipse
In the path of the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse.
This forested country property was purchased in 1923 by my great grandfather as a farm. My father was born here. All that was left when I arrived five years ago was the old stone house foundation -n it took me three days to find that! It is an honor to share a place this beautiful, creek, hills n trails ... Learn more about this land: Bordering Hanging Bog Wildlife Management Area and Crabb Hollow State Forest this charmed creek laced forest has been in my family for 100 years.  Recently turned camp with 10 well spaced camp sites with fire pits, deep well potable water, dish washing station and a couple of electrical outlets for charging, blender, hot pot....  We have what you need for comfort. We just finished a glamping cabin for those want maximum comfort and amenities all set up! We are located right next to Wildlife Management and State Forest property and are on the snowmobile trail.   Enjoy central (communal) and/ or individual camp fire pits (rustic wood provided).   RV's will want to use the somewhat level primary and secondary drive areas (sites 1, 2, 3 or 6). You can have privacy or enjoy socialization here.  We are truly in the woods well spaced between sites and away from all traffic except very light country road travel. Spaces 1,2,3,4,6, and 7 are drive -in. Spaces 8, 9 and 10 are short walk-ins (50-250 feet) from parking. These locations, are across the creek FOOT bridge. You can not drive to them. Nice n private with rustic campfire wood, piled or to gather, near by. We have cut many beautiful walking trails on the forested hills out back and along the creeks.  We sit 1/4 mile (through two meadows and up one tall and one small rise) from three ponds FULL of bass  (fishing license required). I love to use the tiny beach at the first pond for a quick cool off swim.   For a group swimming or tanning spot try Rushford Lake, where the beautiful little sandy Rushford Lake Public Beach is exactly 3 miles away. (Opened through Labor Day) Just down the road you can put your kayak or canoe in the Hanging Bog or go over to Genesee River access, 6 miles away to paddle or fish.  Genesee Valley Greenway Trail is minutes away to go for a nice hike.  See the hidden jem, Wiscoy Falls in 20 minutes or hike around Moss Lake. Approximately 25 miles in either direction will get you to a great day at Allegany or Letchworth State parks.  You may want to take a nature path walks right here so you can hug trees and kiss rocks... or Play In The Creek ! All us kids and kids at heart love to play in the creek!  Enjoy a fire in the communal pit or in your own and the firefly show which starts at dusk! All Cuba area attractions including Cuba Cheese, Garlic Festival, Block Barn, Palmer Opera House, Moonwinks and Cuba Lake are within 10 miles. The superb Amish community and offerings lace the entire area. I love all the doggies and have a big lab mix, Dino, who thinks all the people and all the other doggies were made to play with him. We understand everyone may not see it that way.  Out of respect for everyone lets all keep our dogs in our space and clean-up after them. All are invited to cross the creek bridge for off leash romps and hikes. Children love it here! My Verizon phone and Hotspot work great here. We have Armstrong Internet / Wi/Fi for all. Works best near the electrical outlet station.  There is a three week maximum stay limit at this time.  Only sites 1, 2, 3 and 6 can accommodate larger RV's.  Please come on down and enjoy this special spot. Rustic campfire wood provided for 1st night stay. Bring wood or purchase it from my next door neighbor. Do send any questions. Plan to arrive before dark for all walk-in sites and before 9pm for any site. Please take all trash away as there is no trash service in this area. Thank you!

Site 3 Big Tent / Van Site
Site 3 was perfect for our 'camp in our van' needs while visiting Letchworth State Park (a 26 minute drive). The site is close to the road but cars rarely passed and it was quiet. Our Ram Promaster 3500 is big but we had an easy turn around and we backed into our site near a fire ring. Firewood was already on-site so we had a nice fire to relax in front of while enjoying watching the stars. Diane, accompanied by her friendly dog Dino, was a lovely hostess, made sure we had everything we needed, and even made us some breakfast muffins.

Site 8 Across The Creek Walk
Site 8 at Diane’s camp was perfect for us. It was a large, lovely, private wooded setting with flat areas for our 2 tents and a shelter and a fire pit with a log bench and firewood supplied by Diane. We appreciated having a spot where our dog could be off-leash, and Dino was a great playmate for her. There were mowed trails to explore, and a creek running through the camp. The dishwashing station was much appreciated, and a porta-potty, water and a shower are available. Diane’s sturdy wagon was extremely helpful in getting our supplies to and from our site. Directions were clear. Diane greeted us upon arrival. She was gracious, pleasant and accommodating, respectful of our privacy but let us know she was available if needed. We’d happily return to camp here again!

Site 8 Across The Creek Walk
Camping with wife and friend.
We absolutely loved it. Diane was an amazing host and her dog dino was so friendly and playful. The tent site was awesome. Big enough for a couple tents and our canopy. Big log to sit on by fire. Plenty of firewood. Nice and secluded but still could see the stars up threw the trees. Creek walking was so much fun. Caught a couple bass in the ponds up the hill. We loved her whole setup and definitely will camp there again.

Site 8 Across The Creek Walk
We had a wonderful time. The campsites were clean and fairly private. There were lots of trails to walk and we had fun looking for Crawdads and salamanders in the creeks. We forgot that our site was across the creek and that we would have to walk in, but Diane provided a wagon to help and it wasn't a long walk. Diane and another camper gave us some great ideas of things to do. We absolutely loved the Wiscoy Falls. It was amazing walking up the falls and jumping in the cold water. We also kayaked on the Rushford lake and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast at Sprague's Maple Farm. Diane went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, wood and fun and pleasant company and wonderful memories. We will definitely be back and will be bringing our kids next time.

Site 2 OFF MAIN DRIVE RV BUDDY
We were greeted by a wonderful lady, the owner, Diane & her happy and friendly dog, Dino. Our camp site was lovely. It was well shaded & roomy. It includes a fire pit and wood for the fire. Diane was available for all of our questions & graciously gave us two tomatoes we had forgotten to bring. Cell service was great, there were shower facilities & access to water for dishes, etc. as well as access to electric power to charge phones, etc. We were just down the street from a little beach on Rushford Lake & several ponds across from our site for fishing. I would recommend camping here if you enjoy quiet, peaceful, simple serenity of off the beaten path camping....this is the place.
