Cedar Bloom was purchased in the spring of 2017 by Spirit Weavers Gathering as a place of peace and healing, for all walks of life. Spirit Weavers is an annual women's gathering which happens once a year each June. We host over 1,200 women in just two weeks on the land. Our beautiful forested land is located in Southern Oregon, in a small town off the 199 Redwood Highway. The land which we call home is 100 acres of beautiful protected forest and sits upon a mile of the Illinois River. We are very fortunate to be surrounded by a widely diverse population of flora and fauna. As caretakers of this sacred land, we feel a strong responsibility to honor our plant and animal allies by not only protecting them and their habitat, but also to help educate others about what lives and grows here by providing people with opportunities to experience the beauty of these plants and animals for themselves. For this reason, We are honored to host the many different groups who will gather here on this land for learning and communing with the nature that flourishes here. We feel very fortunate to be involved in this process of helping promote a sustainable and abundant future for all living things on this planet by sharing knowledge and skills from the human past that can make a sustainable lifestyle a reality for everyone everywhere. Crater Lake Resort

Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters. Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village.

In 2007 we planted 200 tree's and 100 shrubs to build a new fish and wildlife habitat along Woodcock Creek. We then focused on building fence along the Molalla River to protect water quality. From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands. You're only minutes away from the town of Molalla to grab a bite, groceries or other camp items. Also have Molalla Rodeo just 3 minutes away on July 1-4th. You won't be disappointed for a great breakfast at Tammy D's (Mulino, OR), sandwiches at Humble Pig or pizza at Bear Creek Pizza & Pub.

Riverside/Riverwood

Spring is finally here and we have our property all spruced up for our campers! Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle and we have room for tents, small trailers and camper vans too. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tidewater here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15' river bank at high tide). The Riverside site has a fire pit and a deck for viewing the river. The Riverwood site is away from the river bank about 100' and sits under beautiful, large spruce trees. It is a short walk from both sites to our ramp and dock to be on the river. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests, Yay! It is about 150' walk from both campsites. It has a kitchenette with a barista bar, microwave, small fridge, a small living area, private toilet and shower. (bring your own towels, soap, etc.). We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. PLEASE NOTE.....We didn't realize how popular our Bunkie would be so to avoid double booking and disappointing our guests, we will keep you posted on the availability. The Glass House IS currently AVAILABLE these dates: AVAILABLE: April 6th - 19th April 22nd - May 20th June 10th - June 13th June 16th - June 18th June 23rd-June 27th August 23rd-August 29th September 4th on into fall... The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. Bring your Kayak or SUP to explore the slow moving river (or rent ours!). Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife; migrating and resident birds, Beavers early in the morning and evenings. Our resident River Otters have been very active the past couple of years. You'll see them in the morning and evenings swimming, playing and munching on Crawdads. There are Deer although we seldom see them on our property but, they are across the river. There is a huge heard of Elk down river. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience at the coast...Just ask! A little about the process and the property: Once you reserve a camp site you'll receive a welcome message with the physical address to the property and the instructions on how to navigate the property once you are here. There is a HIPCAMP sign with an arrow to direct you to the 2 camp sites. There are also "END HIPCAMP" signs on our property lines to preserve our neighbors privacy. Check-in is 2pm or later, check out is 12noon or before. To be respectful of other campers that are excited to get outdoors (and to allow us to clean the bathroom and make sure the property is ready for the next campers) we need to adhere to these times. FIRE RESTRICTIONS - There are no fire restrictions currently but, we want you to extinguish fires when you leave the property. We have bottles of water at each site to do so. Also, we provide fire extinguishers if there is an emergency grass fire. A little about the property and us: We purchased this property 10 years ago. Our Hipcamp sites sit on bare property adjacent to our house. The property and house had sat vacant for 3 years prior to us finding it. It was a mess, all overgrown with blackberries, moss, etc. We spent the first 3 years cleaning up the house, apartment downstairs and clearing the property so it was usable. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river...somewhere...when we came across this property. We both love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. Zigzag Mountain Farm

Located on Mount Hood about an hour from Portland, Zigzag Mountain Farm is home to an organic garden, old homestead, house, yurts, and barn. 50 acres of open meadows and forest, bordering thousands of acres of national forest. The farm is home to an organic garden, campfire circle, picnic area, a city bus with a campers' kitchen, outdoor seating area with BBQ, kids play structure and hiking trails. The cabin on the property was built by the original homesteaders. Britta and Jim purchased the property in 2009. It had been vacant for a number of years. Giant slash piles scattered the land from previous logging. The house and cabin were not livable and needed major renovations. In 2019 we purchased and brought in a city bus and converted it to a campers kitchen. A year-round creek flows through the property and 3 major rivers are nearby. The Zigzag Mountain Lookout Trail leaves from the property. The property was homesteaded in the late 1800's. E. Mountain Drive was the wagon train trail into Portland, known as the Barlow Trail. Zigzag Mountain farm offers the perfect escape from the city.

We are happy to share our five acres of beautiful PNW forest with intrepid campers Learn more about this land: Have you ever wanted to have an entire campground to yourself? Planning a romantic getaway, private group trip, or getting your feet wet with your first trip of the year (or ever!?) We have got the perfect place for you! Camp on the edge of Forest Park and sleep underneath an evergreen canopy of Douglas fir and big leaf maple. We have one large forest glade with room for several tents. We book only one group at a time, so you are guaranteed the place to yourselves. We can accommodate up to 12 people, with a max of 4 vehicles (parking is tight). The campground features: -Fairy lights strung among the tress to create the perfect magical ambiance -Large fire ring with cooking grate and seating for two -Newly built "glampy" composting latrine (commune with nature!) - A huge clearing with multiple flat tent spots -1/2 mile of trails with hidden surprises - A parking area suitable for car camping or van camping during the rainy season. -Only 20 minutes from downtown Portland, 15 from I5, and minutes from gas and groceries *COMING SOON* Giant disk swing and swinging loveseat Parking is separate from the campground! It is a brief but steep 1/4 mile hike to get to the main campground and latrine. Bring hiking shoes and pack light. It takes most people 5-15 minutes to hike up, depending on fitness level and load size . If you want to car camp, you will be next to a road and separate from the latrine and fire pit. Enjoy several short trails on the camp's property before heading to Forest Park's Wildwood Trail, which is just up the street, or check out all of the incredible natural and urban nearby attractions in Portland. We are about 20 minutes away Portland's International Rose Test Garden , The Oregon Zoo, and Pittock Mansion Or just swing lazily in a hammock under the trees and enjoy the sound of the forest coming to life. Inquire about a tour of the homestead and the chance to play with our tiny herd of goats who think they are dogs.

Take a stroll down Cedar Creek, sit and read by one of the seven ponds, get your heart pumping on the hilly trails on the north side of the property, pick as many blackberries as you can find if in season. We can't wait to host you! Learn more about this land: Located right off Hwy 26, directly in between the city of Portland and the peak of Mt. Hood, you'll find the most peaceful corner of the Pacific Northwest for you to pitch your tent or park your van. We are conveniently located just 7 minutes from downtown Sandy, known for its food trucks, outdoor gear shops, and the famous Joe's Donuts. Though we are right off a busy highway, all you'll hear are the tranquil sounds of Cedar Creek's flowing waters and the chirping birds who live in the cedars overhead. The small clearings throughout the property provide natural privacy for our campers, and the 37 acres sprinkled with trails and ponds offer exploration and a sense of wonder we hope you'll enjoy. Please note: we have a vanlife community that utilizes the barn up on the hill (check out kift.com if you're a nomad or vanlifer looking for an awesome community on the road) and we also live up on the hill in the house next to the barn. NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES: PACK OUT WHAT YOU PACK IN, aka leave no trace - our most important campsite policy. We have no garbage cans or trash services. The trash you create will be your responsibility to take with you when you leave. And please don't place it at our neighbors house (yes, this has happened). If you leave your trash for us to clean up, we will charge a $100 cleaning fee. 4WD REQUIRED. Due to the traffic we've experienced recently, the steep gravel roads can be tough for some cars and rigs (particularly on the way out) so for everyone's safety, we are restricting access to only vehicles equipped to handle the terrain. We're sorry for the inconvenience. If you've been here before and know you can get by with your car, feel free to book again, but please do not message us asking us to advise on the vehicle you have. In 2007 we planted 200 tree's and 100 shrubs to build a new fish and wildlife habitat along Woodcock Creek. We then focused on building fence along the Molalla River to protect water quality. From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands. You're only minutes away from the town of Molalla to grab a bite, groceries or other camp items. Also have Molalla Rodeo just 3 minutes away on July 1-4th. You won't be disappointed for a great breakfast at Tammy D's (Mulino, OR), sandwiches at Humble Pig or pizza at Bear Creek Pizza & Pub.

Overview

Oregon has long been known as an outdoor destination, with snow-capped mountains, rugged high desert, Pacific Coast beaches, and roaring rivers all within a few hours’ drive of one another. While Portland attracts visitors with its celebrated food scene and music venues, Oregon offers much more for those who’d prefer a quieter getaway out in nature. If you’ve come to camp or hike, you’ll have no shortage of options to choose from—in fact, there are 11 national forests, hundreds of state parks and recreation areas, and 2.5 million acres of protected wilderness within the state’s borders.

Where to go

The Willamette Valley

Extending from the border with Washington state down to the community of Springfield, the Willamette Valley is Oregon’s main economic and cultural hub. Although it’s home to the state’s three most populated cities (Portland, Salem, and Eugene), much of the Willamette Valley is dominated by forests and countryside, with plenty of state parks, hiking and mountain biking trails, hot springs, and rivers.

Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge

Just east of Portland on the border with Washington, the Columbia River Gorge offers easy access to miles of hiking trails, waterfalls, and great skiing and snowboarding. The adjacent Mt. Hood region has equally beautiful scenery and is as popular for winter skiing and snowboarding as it is for hiking, swimming, and camping in the summer months.

The Oregon Coast

This region is popular year-round, attracting whale-watching fans in the cooler months and campers and hikers in the summer months. Popular Oregon Coast activities include hiking, tide pool viewing, clamming, crabbing, off-road vehicle rides on the sweeping Oregon Dunes, and sampling world-famous cheese and ice cream in Tillamook. While some brave souls don wetsuits for surfing and diving, the Pacific Ocean waters rarely get warm enough for comfortable dips. Some of the area’s best camping options can be found at Harris Beach State Park, Sunset Bay State Park, and Cape Lookout State Park, all of which offer tent camping, yurt rentals, and RV sites with hookups.

Eastern and Central Oregon

Stretching from the portion of the Cascade Range south of the Columbia Gorge all the way east to the Oregon-Idaho border, central and eastern Oregon offer a dryer, sunnier alternative to the rainier parts of the state, with a mix of lush forest and craggy high desert landscapes. Highlights include Deschutes National Forest, popular for backpacking and backcountry stays, while campers in search of a more developed camping experience can head to one of the many Oregon state parks along the Deschutes River, near Bend.

Southern Oregon

Oregon’s southernmost region offers a variety of scenery, with a mix of lakes, forests, and rivers interspersed with rolling expanses of countryside (not to mention some great wineries). The region’s most famous natural attraction is Crater Lake National Park, Oregon’s only national park, set near the southeastern reaches of Umpqua National Forest.
