This property was once a sheep ranch, part of thousands of acres. The ranch was parceled out and sold over the years, then the county bought it and used it for a rock quarry. There used to be a scale to weigh the trucks and the remnants of it are still in place. The county sold it after a time and the person who bought it was a retired forester. He harvested and replanted trees from the property and milled them on the property. The out-buildings and sheds are all made from wood harvested from the property. The milling shed was converted to the horse barn. There is an older dilapidated shed that was used to sell firewood. DVR is now taking form as a small ranch, a place of peace, calmness and relaxation. A labor of love. Plan on having flush toilets and showers and possibly cabins for 2019 season.
