Charelston - Space Bell

24 sites ¡ Lodging, RVs, Tents40 acres ¡ Coos Bay, OR
The intention behind naming this land The Cloud, is in honor of the atmospheric connection to land that is provided here. The Cloud, is currently in the process of becoming a retreat and eco village for guest to come experience. While still curating the space, the land is being brought together with a passion for saving trees and their priceless ecological function. The large Spruce trees that cover the land, stand with strong branches covered with magnificent green needles. These needles collect water vapor from the air, offering water droplets onto the ground. This process has provided a vibrant natural habitat. The Cloud is an intentional space, where those on the land are invited to become mindful, and connect not only with the land, but with themselves.

The Cu-Coos Nest at Dragonfly Farm

1 site ¡ Lodging89 acres ¡ Langlois, OR
The Cu-Coos Nest Campground is Dragonfly Farm & Nursery's newest addition. Our garden center takes up about 3 of the 89 acres of mostly forested land that it resides on. Our campsites are special in that they are all very private from each other and the property has many trails to walk. Forest bathe! Let your dogs and kids run free and breathe in the fresh forest air. We welcome you to walk the trails to the nursery (during open hours) where we have a playground, picnic area, gift shop and the largest selection of plants on the southern Oregon coast! We host live music events in the summer too - be sure to check out our nursery website for our schedule of events! You'll also find our goats near the nursery! We have 3 American Pigmy goats and 2 Nigerian Dwarf goats. We are in the process of putting up a bigger fenced area for them (we keep them for eating brush). For now they hang out near the playground and we take them for walks to get their daily fill of greens. If you'd like to go on a goat walk with us, just let us know! Well behaved doggo? Let them wander off leash! But please note that we do have dogs (who are very friendly and will probably come say hi), cats and goats on property. We love when dogs visit the garden center too! You're within a 15 minute drive of the beach, the lake, the river or our cute nearby coastal towns Port Orford (to the south) and Bandon (to the north). We are 2 miles north of our sweet lil town of Langlois, where you'll find a breakfast/lunch restaurant, coffee, and a market. We’re happy to give suggestions! But unless you ask us, we’ll leave you to your privacy. Please note the driveway that our campsites are on, is an easement road and we share it with our neighbors who farm sheep.

Camp Catching

3 sites ¡ RVs, Tents6 acres ¡ Coos Bay, OR
Learn more about this land: Camp Catching is located on Catching Slough a beautiful tidal water way located in the Coos Sumner area near Coos Bay. Home lands to the Coos and Coquille tribes. Camp catching is a part of Blue Barns Farms, a 6 acres homestead located on Old Wagon Rd. This area is considered a “Banana Belt” as during the summer it is often 15 degrees warmer than “in town” and outside of the fog bank that is often seen daily closer to the ocean. It is a great place to set up camp while exploring other areas of our beautiful community. The Oregon Bay Area ( Coos County) is a True Hidden Gem. You can go from mountain to sea; exploring waterfalls to playing at the beach all in one day. We have 3 camping areas around our little blue barn and surrounding area. Each camp spot has a solo fire pit and picnic table (please note: fires will be permitted based on fire risk.) All 3 camping spots have access to Catching Slough for paddle boarding and kayaking; I have been known to even swim on a hot day. We have two paddle boards, one double kayak and a child kayak (less than 130 lbs) available for camper use. Catching slough is influenced by the tides and contains brackish waters- both add additional magic to this area. This means twice a day the slough empties traveling to the ocean and fills up again. High tide is a great time for paddle boarding and kayaking; low tide is wonderful for watching birds and other animals. Anytime is actually great for bird watching! We have a number of different species of birds that rest here while migrating- the opportunity to see them all depends on the time of year that you visit. You can also watch fish jump in the bend of the slough. Other oddities that we have seen since living here over the last 7 years- swimming deer and even a seal(only once)! Everyone who comes to visit finds the slough mesmerizing and beautiful! For facilities we have an outdoor shower and Porter potties that are emptied regularly. Our little Blue Barn is a communal space offering a refrigerator, kettle and tea house. There is also a barbecue located outside the barn for camps use.

11 Mile River Camp

2 sites ¡ RVs, Tents10 acres ¡ Umpqua, OR
Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months. There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. The "site 1" camping spot has a driveway that is hard-packed grass and is not gated. There is a small fire pit on the path by the river. There are areas under the trees both up top near the road and down near the path that are suitable for tents. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.
