Welcome to Kaw Lake! This park is known for its sandy beaches, beautiful lake, and nearby historical sites. There are lots of hiking trails in the park, like Eagle View Trail and Five Fingers Trail. They’re both about 12 miles long, and pass through grasslands, forests, and offer lake views. You’ll reach pretty remote areas, so make sure to bring plenty of water on your hike! Summer visitors enjoy swimming in the expansive and refreshing lake, and spreading out on the sandy beaches for picnics. Stop by in the winter and you’ll be rewarded with great opportunities for viewing American Bald Eagles. Want to learn about the region’s history? Check out the nearby Pioneer Woman Museum in Ponca City, and stop by Marland Mansion while you’re there! Campers can choose from four campgrounds around the lake. Stay a few days to enjoy all this park has to offer!
