Whether you want to spend your days chillaxing at a beach, floating down a river, or speeding across a lake on some waterskis, the Cherokee State Park is ripe for adventuring with water out the wazoo. Set on the shores of the Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees you’ve got 1,300 miles of shoreline to explore, and ample space for one-on-one time with Mother Nature. The riverside part of the park is located below the Pensacola Dam, where you can access the Cherokee River and its treelined shores. Bring along your picnic favorites and grill up a fresh catch to enjoy with your feet dangling in the water as you take in a stellar sunset over the lake. Now that’s livin’ the good life.
