Nomadic camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

Learn more about this land: Hydro access has been newly added! Nestled in a quaint old Fishing Town is a 2-Acre Forest property, that hadn’t been touched since 1885! This land overlooks the North Atlantic Ocean, with a 25ft bank at the edge of the property, and almost 100ft of stone beach! No running water on this property, or accessible toilets (yet) - but 10 minutes by car you’ll find a Sobeys, a liquor store, a laundromat, a Home Hardware, and small local shops. There should be a grey plastic rounded table available (just pop in the 4 peg legs), and 2 matching grey small coffee side tables you can use positioned under the Tiny Home. Please return them somewhere underneath the Tiny Home when you are done using them so that other campers may use them :) 30 min drive away is the infamous Martinique Beach, a very popular surfing spot! Lots of hiking and site seeing available nearby as well. A long drive way is the entry point to the camping site. All I ask is that each camper leaves the property better than you found it. As you depart, another camper is most likely arriving so please keep that in mind. Enjoy the peace and quiet under the stars, and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves breaking against the shore, and the leaves rustling in the breeze! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is currently a Tiny Home on the property being built, and it is currently occupied by the property owner full-time. Garbage pick-up in this area of Jeddore only allows one black plastic bag to be removed every 2 weeks. If your garbage is in a clear bag the city will take it and you can put your sealed garbage in a clear bag in the wood box at the end of the driveway. The city ONLY takes clear bags. Recycling is allowed in blue bags. Due to this restriction, I am not able to handle all the campers garbage -- please take any that you create with you if you do not have clear bags. There is a gravel driveway to access the spot where you can camp. Feel free to park anywhere you’d like on the driveway. We ask that you leave the site better than you found it - by cleaning up any bottles/cans/garbage that you brought with you. Thank you! The next campers, and the wildlife, will greatly appreciate it! *Please be aware there is a 25ft bank at the end of the property* Quiet time begins at 10pm, any complaints received by neighbours about campers after that time will be addressed, and possibly fined. Check out is at 12pm and any time spent on the site after that will result in being charged for another nights stay - unless you have booked a late check out. Have a great camp!

Gorgeous view, meters away from the water (down a slight hill) and lots of space to set up. Two available firepits. Very windy at times! Also, it's worth mentioning that the host lives on the property within view of the sites. She's great and unintrusive, but privacy isn't total.

Spectacular views!!! Looking pout over islands, points, and everchanging and mesmerizing ocean waves. Ever in motion. And the wind can blow, but there are spots to take some cover. We enjoyed our conversation with Michelle. She provided a great oveview of her land and her vision of what it could be. Very much a work in progress, but very much worth staying there. Especially for primitive camping; fire ring, picnic table. Best for self contained units. Not so good for trailers. Some nice spots for tents. (more to come) Michelle has great plans for improvements which will make it that much better! Our Dogs had a great time too!

A beautiful location with privacy and tranquility. It was the perfect place to run off to for a weekend. Michelle was super responsive and helpful. The ocean was meditative. I loved watching the boats coming and going.

Loved the peace and solitude that the site provided. The view was incredible over the water especially with the moonlight. There is a bit of a bank and we couldn’t access the rocky beach below other than that it was a perfect night!
