Tony G.’s Farm, North Carolina
on 1 response
The farm was original owned by Benjamin Wyche, well before the Civil War. Benjamin Wyche had 17(!) children who all went on to college educations and notable careers. For example, Mary Wyche, the eldest daughter, founded organized nursing in North Carolina. The Harris family bought the farm from the Wyche descendants in late 1950s and actively farmed it. The farm house was original built in the 1870s and restored in 2005. Beautiful, peaceful place to visit!
