Peace of the Woods
Was extremely pretty
The site is right off a pretty busy road. The man on the tractor that went up and down the road about 20 times that evening waved every time. The host is super nice and had erected a giant yurt in anticipation of people using it. Unfortunately it was taking up the largest level spot right next the awesome creek. So we had to camp away from the creek. Also, not so private since the hosts house looks right down on you. She wasn’t there most of the time so I guess that was alright. Be careful about injuries. Had an extended 1x signal the night we arrived, and the rest of the weekend no service at all. So can’t call for help.

Peace of the Woods
Lovely creekside site
Lovely creek side spot. The creek was the highlight. We went to sleep listening to the stream and the cicadas and then woke up to owls. This site is more challenging for tents to be set up as your options are gravel or a slope but we managed. There is a house across the street from the stream.

Peace of the Woods
Absolutely gorgeous! The babbling brook was calming and a beautiful sight to wake up too. The best campsite of our trip! Will most certainly be returning.

Peaceful Hanging
I had such a wonderful time at Peace of the Woods II. It was in a great location, less than a half hour's drive to downtown Murphy and even a shorter drive to Lake Hiwassee; lots to see and do in the area. The property was beautiful, plenty of trees for hammocking and a nice peaceful creek running beside. Out of all 5 campsites that my group stayed in on our NC roadtrip, this was the only one where we received cellular data which was great. Hope and her husband were super cool and nice, they helped us find the campsite and explained all that was offered. We felt very welcomed. Overall I highly recommend this campsite.

Wonderful Creek
Peace of the Woods II has a wonderful babbling creek and that is the highlight of the spot. We were glad we texted Hope, our Host, for directions because Google Maps sent us to a spot about a block away. The space is a gravel driveway in a very quiet area about 100 feet from the very quiet main road. The creek is about 10 feet from the end of the driveway. There is a water spigot and an outlet for electric the end of the driveway but the electric was not working when we were there. The views on the road to the campsite are great. We did not see a tent spot or a fire ring and the site. We were in a truck camper and did not need a tent atea. We also did not see a sign for the tent spot that Hope’s description mentions but, as I said, Hope told us where to find them gravel driveway. The area is safe and quiet. We have ATT cell phone service and were not able to get a connection anywhere near the campsite. We did several hikes in the area and also hiked to the Panther Top Fire tower which is very close to the campsite. It is a really short hike with spectacular views.
