Little Brother Knob consists of a single house sitting in the middle of 8 acres on top of a level area of a ridge called Four Brothers Knob. Another 30 to 50 acres of woods surround the property so nature and privacy are key features of this site. A subdivision road was pushed up the mountain back in the mid-seventies and it is reported that hang gliders used to launch off a platform from an overlook in the front of the house. When we bought the property in the late 80's we had the knob blessed by a Native American woman who chanted prayers and cast out tobacco and corn meal east, south, west and north.
While dowsing for water, before the house went up, we discovered there was an energy vortex on a ley line that runs up the ridge. Our circle drive now surrounds the vortex area. Several black bears roam the mountain each year but they are afraid of humans and move off quickly when they see people.
The RV site is new and is located out of sight from the host's house so privacy is maintained. It only takes a few minutes to drive down to the town of Swannanoa for groceries, Starbucks, laundry, hardware store, and post office. UPS delivers up to the row of mailboxes on a daily basis. The host hauls off garbage weekly to county transfer station.
