If you happen to live in Durham, Hillsborough or Chapel Hill, NC, boy do we envy you! That’s because Eno River State Park is practically your backyard, only better, because you don’t have to mow it. Just a few minutes in the car will bring you to this awesome park, where the Eno River flows gently along as if it were made by fly fishers. You’ll almost always see somebody wading in the river, flicking a pole back and forth, teasing the water with a fly in hopes to catch a fat, juicy one. The peaceful trails that meander through the woods are a welcome escape from the city life. Birds and other kinds of wildlife are almost impossible to miss when you visit. Yes, Eno River State Park has all the benefits of a remote wilderness without the being remote at all.
