Once operated as a children's summer adventure camp in the 1960's and 70's, the family farm has currently found a dual use of vacation rentals and a horse experience business focusing on mindfulness and consciousness. A large part of the property is forest with miles of hiking trails, creeks, and wildlife. With 300 acres, everything is pretty spread out and if you don't like the campsite, we're pretty sure we can help you find one that you do. The rodeo size arena and the pond were built for the summer camp. The pond was stocked with fish recently and has an entire chorus of bullfrogs in summer. So if you don't like the noisy frogs, we have other sites away from the pond. You can also consider stargazing at the arena. It's grass and has a long range mountain view all the way to Mt. Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi

The main house has a ground level bunkroom for those that want a roof over their head. Sleeps groups up to 10 people. When it's vacant, it serves as the bathhouse for outdoor campers but not guaranteed.
