🌿 Private forested land against the ledge of Zoar Valley. Large, spacious campsite areas, good for groups. A rare location that is secluded and quiet, away from people and traffic. For those that want to feel isolated and immersed in nature and the forest. Includes seven acres to primitive camp on, or bring an RV/camper in (10ft clearance at gate). Each site has a picnic table, and brick fire pit. Pergola party shelter located at Site 2. 🔒Locked gate at each site entrance from road for privacy and security. Site 1 is closer to the road, Site 2 is deeper in the woods, with adequate privacy and space between the two. ♻️ Take out what you take in, leave no trace. 🌙 Porta potty toilet on site maintained regularly, shared between sites April-November 🌳The campsite borders state forest to hike freely, and is about 1000ft until the top edge of the valley with beautiful vantage points of the valley. Drive down the road a few miles to the Forty Road trail head that leads to the creek down in Zoar Valley.

Site 1 - Zoar Valley Forest Retreat Campsite
Lovely Secluded and Large Campsite
We had a great time camping at site 1. We had a group of about 10, and there was plenty of flat space for tents. It's really secluded and far enough from the other site that you can't see each other or really even hear each other at all. Firepit was lovely and well maintained. Would definitely recommend!

Site 2 - w/ Pergola party shelter
My friends and I loved this site! Beautiful stars, nice and big and very clean porto. Wild ramps growing everywhere in the spring too! Definitely recommend, especially using the brick oven for frozen pizzas.

What an amazing time!!
My 12 yr old son and I stayed for one night at Nathan’s campsite and it was truly a magical time for us both. We weren’t ready to backpack into the wilderness, but also didn’t want to stay in a typical campsite either. This was a perfect in-between. It is a drive up site, that also gives you the experience of being in the wilderness and secluded from society. There is such good energy at the site and the surrounding woods and you get the sense that it is a sacred space. Nathan was honestly fantastic to work with. You can tell that he truly cares about what kind of experience you have on his land. He was very responsive when we had questions and we felt very welcomed. What amazing time!!

This was a great private spot! Nathan responded right away as we literally booked this site while on our way to NY the same day. We will definitely return in the warmer weather to check out the creek area. Thank you Nathan!

Site 1 - Zoar Valley Forest Retreat Campsite
Cool Place
Had a nice relaxing weekend. There was nobody at the other site so it was super quiet. Nice and secluded but not far away from town if you needed to grab something. Cool little hike at the end of Forty Rd. I got to the end of the trail but couldn’t figure out how to get down to the creek. Oh well next time.

Really great private spot! Site was a little messy from previous campers and porta potty wasnt very clean. Outside of those 2 things it was a great experience! 😊
