Laughing Kookaburra Creekside
Big, beautifully shaded and private
We really loved this campsite. We were four families staying together; adults, teens, kids and dogs. We stayed at the site called the Ephiphyte forest. Think of numerous beautiful staghorns and elkhorns high in the trees. It was very private, no other families, with a big, shaded area and a clear creek running alongside. We did lots of swimming and exploring. Directions were clear and accurate.

Such a beautiful spot, so peaceful. Life slowed down, just what we all needed. 🙂

Long lap Platypus pool
What a beautiful little spot! The campsite was perfect for us. Whilst not 100% private, its still very quite and peaceful! The water trickling past was just gorgeous and being able to have a dip in the river was amazing! Wen was lovely and made us feel very welcome! We wanted to kayak further down but big trees blocked the path after heavy rains, hopefully next time we can explore further! We are already discussing when we can return. Thank you Wen for sharing such special spot!

Fabulous Nulla Nulla
What a magical place to camp in a pristine environment. The creek is cool (but not too cool) and clear, the birds are beautiful, and we even saw a platypus at dusk. Wen is a superb host who makes you feel welcome and cared for. We hope this will be the first of many visits.

Great for groups
Just want to thank Wen for an amazing long weekend. We have a group of 8 girls turn up for a unique winter getaway and it was everything we imagined and more. The water was fresh and clean, we had a whole paddock to ourselves. And we even paid for Wen to run a little Yoga session, which was 100% worth the money - We all felt so zen and relaxed afterwards. Being Winter I expected there to be a huge frost in the morning, but not a single bit in the 3 nights we stayed, which was amazing! We will 100% be back!

Platypus Pool
Would never go back
Unfortunately my partner and I were pretty unhappy with the campsite we got for the amount of money we paid ($125 a night plus fees). It was basically an un-maintained piece of grass right beside the main road next to the bridge. The only good part was the river. We were told they’d bring firewood down to us and I asked for a veggie basket which I never ended up receiving. After waiting till almost dark for the firewood, Jason ended up going back up to ask for it and she just told him to get the wheelbarrow and bring it down himself. We built our own fire pit with rocks from the river cause there was nothing there for a fire. We paid for 3 nights and ended up leaving after 2 and went to a different campsite. I tried texting Wen after we left explaining why we were unhappy and I have received zero response back. Over all we felt very ripped off and hope to warn people to not go to platypus pool.
