Gloucester Tops Riverside Caravan Park (GTRCP) is a peaceful and relaxing park, ideal for family/group holidays or a weekend escape. Located 3.5 hours from Sydney or 2 hours from Newcastle, Gloucester Tops Riverside Caravan & Camping Park, GTRCP offers something to do for everyone. Take a stroll through our beautiful park, have a picnic on our beautiful lawn, wander up to the National Park, go for a swim in the peaceful Gloucester River, or catch some trout to enjoy with the family. With both powered and unpowered sites for caravans, campers and motorhomes, GTRCP offers an admirable escape from the urban life. We pride ourselves with our spotless amenities - toilets, showers and laundry (all coin operated). GTRCP is the ultimate destination for peace and relaxation, with only a 30-minute drive to Gloucester shops, 4 minutes from the Barrington Top/Gloucester National Park and 25 minutes from Gloucester Falls. The National Park offers a range of bush walks and lookouts. Set amongst 20 acres of beautiful lawns, gardens and rivers, you are welcomed by stunning views. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in the park due to the beautiful wildlife already here. During your stay you can expect to see a range of animals, including but not limited to kangaroos, water dragons, bush turkeys, rosellas, king parrots, spotted quolls, possums, ducks, platypuses and more. Please note: as our lovely park is a getaway from the real world, there is no mobile reception or drinking water (get boiling!).

Pick your camping spot - beside the river, up on the hill, or amongst the trees. With shady spots and spacious grassy areas, there's plenty of room for the kids to run around while you relax. Once you have picked your campsite, pitch your tent or bring your caravan or trailer along - it's time to start exploring. Kids will love the wide-open space, perfect for playing and pushbikes (helmets required at all times). You'll be woken by the call of the birds in the morning and may even have a kangaroo peeking at you.

We almost had the whole place to ourselves, and absolutely loved the privacy. Our host, Hannah, mentioned that if we’d arrived just a few days earlier, it would’ve been packed out, so our timing was luckily spot on! The facilities were spotless, and the river was fun for rock hopping, fishing and swimming, cold but invigorating! You felt the temperature instantly drop as soon as you’re down by the river, perfect for escaping the midday heat. Our hosts, Hannah and Jessie, were super friendly and made us feel right at home. 🩷 We loved 🔥 Fire pit & wood supplied 🍃 Plenty of space and privacy ✨ Stargazing, super special 🎣 Fishing .. we caught an eel and threw it back 😂 💧 River swimming, ROPE SWING 🏠 Admiring the quirky costum built cabins that hug the river

We couldn't find the spot at the main camping area close to the river, instead was given space outside the main gate next to the driveway. I think the hosts should have managed the number of bookings to suit the space as there were several other families staying outside the main camping area. No issues other than the above feedback. Nice location though.

We loved the remote location amenities were huge and well maintained for such a busy period. Creeks beautiful to swim in and float down. Well maintained grass mowed etc Great activities for the kids and areas for them to ride bikes, We attended at a very busy period park was very crammed so we would like to go back when it is less busy to experience again. Overall we had a great time and would recommend 😃

Unpowered sites camping within close proximity of the river. Great addition to be able to have the fire pit burning at night. We camped up the top so it was a trek through the bush to the amenities block, which they had to increase the deep cleaning as they were pretty foul when the park filled up and the line ups to the showers extensive. All in all - 100% would recommend. Especially with kids in that 8-12 age group and competent swimmers. The rapids and rope swing were definitely a highlight.

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in making our stay enjoyable. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into keeping the place running smoothly. What truly stood out was the level of customer service—nothing was too much trouble, and every interaction left us feeling valued. We’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this park to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with exceptional service.

Absolutely beautiful place. Clean bathrooms. The only thing we weren’t ready for is that there are no camping sites allocated- it’s first come first serve and you grab a spot wherever. We were cramped into a spot between tents but would’ve loved to have our own allocated site. People just seem to camp all over wherever there is a space and during a busy weekend it’s quite cramped. Also only one bathroom block for the whole place so it’s quite a walk to get to it. Other than that it’s a beautiful spot. Would love to go over a quiet weekend.

We had a great time at this camp-site, the hosts were friendly and very helpful/accommodating. The swim spots on the river were stunning and the kids loved it. Good clean amenities block with hot showers and even a coin operated laundry if you need to wash/dry some things. Had a huge range of scheduled activities for the kids over the Easter long weekend.

Wonderful place to camp. Very clean toilets. Spacious campgrounds. The river is amazing. We had a good swim. Highly recommend it. Nice to take a telescope to see the stars.

Gloucester Tops Caravan Park was amazing; quiet, well looked after, amenities block very clean, sites were great. And 3 very accessible swimming holes along the river to choose from. Communication by Gloucester Tops was great- and price was fantastic. We will most definitely be coming back.

Staff were lovely and accommodating! Various areas to explore as well as different swimming areas, water was freezing which was amazing on a hot day! We were able to spread out away from other campers which was good! Definitely recommend taking a photo of the map in the office as we definitely got lost 😅, beautiful place a lot to do especially for kids! But owners were lovely and helped us out so much! Can’t thank them enough ! Will definitely be coming back with others!

We had a very good experience camping here. We camped near to the river so easy access to the river. River was shallow and we thoroughly enjoyed. Only downside was, the toilet was bit far and hassle to go to the toilet. But over all, it was good stay.

Great Barrington Tops NP stop over

I camped here for a night instead of in a Barrington Tops NP campground (as I normally would) as they offered showering and laundry facilities which I was in need of before another day of hiking. Amenities were clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful and there was a variety of unpowered camp sites to choose from. Walking down by the river and feeding the kangaroos and king parrots was a highlight. I loved my stay here and would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved this campsite. The river is incredibly beautiful, and they have a perfect swim spot on site. Lovely large grassy areas for tents, and lots of activities for the kids on long weekends.

Absolutely beautiful spot!!! And having hot showers and toilets is a bonus. $2 for a 6 minute shower is pretty good and makes the kids shower quick and not waste water. Also has washing machines

Such a great hidden spot for camping. You’re surrounded with so much wildlife and the sound of the river. Great treks for the whole family and we found some nice swim spots. Very clean and had great amenities, the host and everyone there were so welcoming.
