IMPORTANT: Please read this and our site descriptions/rules before booking! N.B. We do not accept children under 8 years of age. Our check-in period is 2 PM to 5.30 PM. If you are unable to arrive within this timeframe then you should not book with us. We do not have staff available to deal with early or late arrivals. ALL bookings MUST be made AT LEAST 24 hours in advance. Our campsite facilities are basic and best suited to self-contained campers. We DO NOT provide general toilet or ablution facilities. However, we do have portable toilet and shower units available for hire (see under Extras). We are a 55 hectare alpaca & llama stud & sugar cane farm, just off the Pacific Hwy, on Harwood Island, in the Clarence River. Our extensive and carefully-maintained pastures offer a wide selection of peaceful, private campsites. There are also numerous small stands of natural vegetation providing shade and shelter. In close proximity to us are shopping centres, surfing beaches and areas of outstanding natural beauty. We operate as a cottage industry, processing alpaca fleece & manufacturing products from it. We regularly conduct tours & maintain a small farm shop. We also offer a full range of home-cooked meals. NOTE: If you book Extras or Meals you choice of campsites will be limited.

Fab location, quiet, green & shady!
What a peaceful and beautiful location. We visited in February, and despite being summer, everything was so green and shady. Helpful and friendly hosts that are on hand if you need them, but otherwise give you your own space. Lovely big trees, and friendly Llamas and Alpaccas. We chose based on the location - as we wanted something close to the highway for our southbound drive. Called into the nearby town MacLean on the way out - cute!!

Up close with the alpacas
Loved this place. We were the only guests and had a beautiful spot on the property. Our hosts were very accommodating and we were given a lot of information about the alpacas and were able to feed them and get up close. The property was relaxing and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Top site, friendly hosts & fab food
We loved everything about our stay at Cardiff Alpacas; Kathleen and Rob were so welcoming and helpful. The campsite was beautiful, green and private. I loved looking out our camper to see all the alpacas grazing, and getting to feed them during the farm tour was great fun. Kathleen was so patient answering all my Qs, and Rob's cooking is such a treat. We arrived in the evening later than planned so to be able to quickly set up then dine on old fashioned roast lamb with all the trimmings, plus an amazing lemon meringue pie for dessert was sublime. Lunch the next day with the farm tour was also amazing. Thank you Rob & Kathleen, we hope to be back with the kids one day.

We spent 3 nights here over the Christmas holidays. Very relaxing and quiet and close enough to Yamba for the beaches and cafes. Highly recommend!
