At the foot of the Watagan mountains, close to the Watagan 4WD tracks, picnic areas, and bike tracks. Also close to Lake Macquarie where you will find fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing etc. About a 20 - 40 min drive to beautiful beaches. Ideal for those wanting to be surrounded by birds, nature and a couple of friendly doggos. Also great for people wanting to try out their new camper, van or tent for the 1st time as we are an easy 1 hour drive north of Sydney on the M1 and close enough to shops for those forgotten items. Also we have unfenced dams, if you are camping with young children please consider carefully and let me know before booking. We have very basic bathroom facilities of 1 flushing toilet in the shed and an outdoor warm shower.

Bunyip's-Moo's Site Primitive Power

Lisa was really helpful and we had a huge, clean grassed area. A fire pit was supplied and was handy being close to a toilet and warm shower. My Son rode his trike up and down the track for hours. We had a great time. :)

Bunyip's Wattle Grove - primitive

Great camp esp. if self contained

A fabulous Hipcamp. We had 3 fully self contained caravans with 6 people and were camping at Wattle Grove - primitive. Plenty of open space to move around and well maintained grass areas. We loved our stay, feeling like we were miles away. We enjoyed the large fire pit and privacy of this location. Lisa was great and met us upon arrival with 2 very friendly dogs who were wander about. We cannot comment on the toilet & shower as we did not use them.

Bunyip's Brooke's Nook -Primitive

Great spot to camp. Lots of space, privacy, level sites with firepits, secluded and quiet yet close to M1 and area activities. Very friendly, helpful host.

Bunyip's Under the Pine - Primitive

Camping within a quiet space.

Bunyip's Under the Pine - Primitive We had a very quiet peaceful time at Lisa's Hipcamp property. Great to see some wild deer and lots of birdlife. Lisa was very attentive to ensuring a great time at her property. As others have commented, the toilet and shower areas need an upgrade, which Lisa is currently looking at. Lots of room between camp sites, so privacy was great. Our small dog got on well with Lisa's two larger dogs, which could not have been any quieter. Roosters do make lots of noise throughout the night, but they give a sense of being on a farm.

Great property to spend a few days. Nice and secluded with your own space. Host was great. Shower and toilet enough to get over the line.
