Just southwest of the intersection of Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee is a southern vista overlooking the the Tennessee River. From RV and walk-up camping to houseboating, J.P Coleman State Park is like the Disneyworld of the South for water enthusiasts. The massive Pickwick Lake offers 47,500 acres of freshwater for fishing (Mississippi State license required), sailing, water skiing and anything else you can think of to do on the water. Set in an area rich with history, J.P Coleman is close to a barrage of Civil War memorabilia including the Shiloh Civil War Battlefield and Historic Homes and Civil War Sites.
