Small, but jam packed with all your nature needs, Pittsfield State Forest at 65 acres has everything from waterfalls to forests to mountain vistas. Nothing to it, but to do it nature lovahs! Meditate and find your center at Berry Pond, the highest body of water in the state. Take to the summit of Berry Mountain by foot or car and enjoy a panoramic view of the sunset. Go on, 30 miles of trails await! Come summertime you can frolick through fields of wild azalea. The park offers 3 different campgrounds to choose from: at the top of Berry Mountain, at the base, and in Bishop Field. Find the one that best suits you and suit up for all the outdoor escapades that await!
