The Point is located in Gouldsboro, in Downeast Maine on the Schoodic Peninsula near the Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park on occupied Wabanaki land. The point is our home, offered to guests as a place for seekers of peace and solace to gain a better relationship and appreciation with nature in a world that has forgotten the importance and connection we all have with the planet that sustains us. A priority here for me is keeping this land pristine and respected. Our mission to save and protect our natural environment and keep it natural and wild can only be accomplished with the active mindfulness of you. We aim to prove that hipcamp can be a magical experience for private landowners and campers alike, to provide a means of temporal community and beneficial alternative to traditional campgrounds; one that does not degrade the environment and break the peace that small towns still contain. Please be mindful of the trash you generate and mindful of the noise you are making— we aim to provide seekers of peace a *quiet* time in nature. Together we are here to be an example to others of what mindful camping can look like in this changing world. Thanks for caring to come, see, explore, learn and being apart of the solution! <3 We hope to hear from you <3

the Stargazer Cabin
Zero Communication during Blizzard
We booked this site October 14 2023 for the April 8 2024 Eclipse. There was ZERO communication from Lily and we didn't risk driving to the camp site because of a blizzard on our day of arrival. March 25th we had sent Lily a message asking about options for our schedule. We got no response. On our drive up to Star Gazer on April 4th there was a bad snow storm/blizzard and our 8 hour drive took 12 hours. During the drive we sent two messages to Lily asking about the status of the camp site and to see if it was accessible/plowed. We got no response. We ended up having to find a pet friendly hotel room ($300), which took hours because of all the Eclipse visitors. Lily had not answered any messages at this point and we didn't want to risk not being able to get to our camp site/getting stuck after a 12 hour drive through a winter storm. So we didn't get to stay at the campsite we paid 2 nights for, and we had to pay for a hotel room for the night due to lack of communication. Thanks Lily! Hopefully, we will be able to get a refund.

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
This little A-frame and the land upon which it sits is so special. I can't thank Lily enough for inviting folks to share in its magic. I'll definitely be back!

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
Perfect getaway even in December!
Omg this place was so beautiful!! So picture perfect Maine coast with the views of Acadia and the lights of Bar Harbor at night, the rocky coast line and beach. We visited in December and the small propane heater kept us warm during the day and evening when we needed to get warm fast. We were plenty warm enough at night and the bed was so comfortable! We loved listening to the sound of the ocean at night as it was high tide and the waves crashed just feet away from the cabin. We enjoyed every second of our trip and definitely want to return again soon!!

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
This place was an absolute dream!!!!!! We had a fire on the beach every night and got to watch the tide come all the way in. The a-frame had everything we needed and more. Most peaceful and secluded area and Lily was very helpful to anything we needed and direction wise for the place. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back !!!

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
Amazing Nature Lover's Paradise!
Perhaps the most splendid piece of oceanfront property one could hope to stay at. The dramatic and glorious tides ebbed in and out as we slept, the beautiful sunrise peaked in our windows. My buddy and I stayed in the A-frame, very cozy but somehow not claustrophobic. Probably the giant windows looking out at nature. We enjoyed a lovely campfire and walks on the stoney and swimmable beach in all directions. I mean, where else can you listen to seals pleasantly chatter just yards away as you drift to sleep? Lily was super friendly and very easy to work with a fantastic host all around. Highly recommend this spot, well worth every penny and more.
