we are located on the banks of the Sandy River.
The Sandy River is a free-flowing river that begins in the mountains of Western Maine and meanders through our college town of Farmington where you can enjoy specialty shops and get a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants.
We are about a 45 minute drive to Smalls Fall near the beginning of the Sandy River and has a series of five drops ( waterfalls) through a narrow gorge that challenge extreme kayakers. It's truly a sight to see .
No worries if you're not into extreme kayaking you can drop a tube in the river near you campsite for a lazy day float down stream. Just a little FYI you may want to keep an eye out.....there's gold in them there rivers.
