The Howling Woods I
Post Season Acadia Visit
The host was flexible in accomodations and costs due to some construction that he needed to do during our stay. We enjoyed the seclusion and proximity to the sites of Acadia National Park. If you like a primative experience (no water or electricity) then this is the place for you. We enjoyed waking up to the rooster and had daily visits to our campsite from the Emu.

Great stay!
Great little spot! Close enough to Acadia but far enough away from everyone else to be right in the sweet spot. Would definitely recommend showing up when the sun is still up since it was hard to find exactly where to go with just headlamps. That’s totally on me though, Brendan’s directions are completely accurate and easy to follow.

We loved tent camping here. Nice site with ample space for our 6-person size tent, fire pit, a few log-made benches, and a wood tabletop. Dry firewood was available for purchase. The site is about a 40yd walk from where you park. Nice people! We would definitely stay here again.

Get spot to get around MDI without being in the middle of everything. The site was pretty wet for the weekend but Brendan was very responsive and helpful. This is differently a unique experience with seclusion, emus, and great proximity to Acadia

Great little spot in the woods on the calmer side of Acadia. Not too far from Bar Harbor and close to some amazing sunset spots. Waking up to the rooster chant and with the farm animals was fun. There's other lodging on the land that aren't on Hipcamp but the camping spot is still secluded and private enough.

The spot was clean and a nice size, right near the farm so we could see some animals from the campsite. Close to bar harbor so not too long of a drive. would recommend staying here!
