Parts of this property were once a farm, I have found several old tools and implements while cleaning up in some of the underbrush. Presently, there are numerous observation points where one can sit and view wildlife, wood ducks, all species of native birds, and we have seen bald eagles -- we're hoping to find a nest because we've been seeing them for years so they must be in the area! Many times of the year the River Bank observation point offers good fishing and one can sit on the riverbank and see fish swimming in the river. Even though no hunting is allowed we will allow experienced archers that are properly permitted to bowfish in the river. The river itself belongs to you as much as anyone! We do not allow wildlife hunting so there is an abundance of squirrels, ducks, and deer to be viewed throughout the season; in just a short session one can capture various memorable photos. Coming soon our next door neighbor Methodist Church URC will be offering firearms training and archery lessons. In addition to canoeing, kayaking, and river tubing we also have high ropes and a rock wall as well as a zip line demo!
