There’s a reason why Kentucky’s State Parks are known as some of the nation’s finest. They consist of top-notch fishing, boating, hiking, family-style recreation with plenty of room to play and picnic, and immaculate lakes and forests. Plus these parks are known for clean campsites, friendly neighbors, abundant wildlife, and thousands of lush, green acres. Mix all those amazing ingredients together and you get Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park! This reservoir lies on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee, but you don’t need to state-hop to enjoy all the beauty and nature it offers. So pack your tents and stock the boat with rods and reels. The lake is ace for smallmouth bass fishing, where the world record remains for the largest caught. And you can’t miss out on the guided tour of Cindy Cave! After a day here, you are gonna need to settle down with a campfire and s’mores. Forgot the chocolate? There’s a country store at the entrance stocked with firewood, toiletries, and supplies.
